I'm taking the NCLE basic tomorrow, so watching your videos will hopefully help. Thanks for making them. My employer pays for an online training program, but your ABO review booklet from 2016 was a big help to prepare for that test last year.
Just letting you know I passed the test this morning and several of the questions were about things I didn't know before I saw them in your videos. So thanks again!
Two of my optician friends and I will be taking the NCLE sometime this year and I will be sharing with them your videos. Thank you. These videos have been the most interesting and comprehensive study helps for me
I just wanted to say thank you so very much for your videos, you're awesome! I just passed my NCLE exam and I couldn't have done it without watching your videos as a big part of my studying. They really helped me comprehend things and remember things a lot better than just reading text on a website. I was extremely nervous for the test so I'm very happy! Thanks again!
RGP material is best for me. Comfortable all day, even when my eyes are dry. Stays clean all day. Only down side is Pine Pollen season. Unbearable!! Never fit RGP lens during pollen season. I have the corneal variety and can see much better with RGP than soft. GREAT VIDEO.. THANKS
Hi Sam , thank you for these videos. Isit true by reducing the water contant and increasing the thickness will help with redusing problems with dehydration? The more mass there is on a lens the less chance of dehydration.
Higher water content lenses allow for more gas exchange (oxygen). Interestingly, higher water content lenses require a more stable tear film (quantity and quality) to remain comfortable. Thanks for the question!
Guadalupe, don’t forget that Michael Jordan missed over 30k shots as an NBA all-star. Arnold Schwarzenegger didn’t place in many bodybuilding competitions. You’ll get it. Don’t give up!
@@nclecontactlenstraining I was joking & it was referring to the drawing 8min in video 😉😂but I do appreciate your expertise as I’m trying to figure out if I’ll get sceral, hybrid or another special lense fitted today..? I used to be near-sighted (around -3.5 with astigmatism) but now I also have problems seeing close in addition & the soft lenses don’t work anymore 😔 I’ve an appointment today but I seems most optometrists are not experts in speciality lenses so I wanted to see which one you’d suggest for someone with my vision problems since you seem to be very knowledgeable in that area…
@IntegrityMeansAll now I’m going to have to watch the video 🤣 Scleral lenses are generally your best option for sharp optics regardless of your vision. Sounds like you may have irregular astigmatism and maybe presbyopia creeping up. I would speak with your doctor about the benefit of mono vision - which would be a slight compromise but may be the best solution. Thanks for watching! 😊
Not only Handsome but great to explain! Thank you so, so much. You have being very helpful!
🤣 thank you
Just want to say thank you! Your videos were really helpful and without them I would have not passed my NCLE! Thanks again for creating this content!
Congrats, Brian! I appreciate you “stopping by” to say thank you!

Elizabeth - that is very encouraging to hear! Way to go 🎉 🎊
Enjoy your fancy new NCLE designation 😃
Hey elizabeth, apart from these videos, what else did you use to study?
You are awesome for doing these videos, man! Really appreciate the way you simplify complicated subjects. Keep it up!
Thank you for explaining it so thoroughly.
Thank you for watching! I’m glad that you found the video helpful 🙂

Thanks for watching, Mark! It’s hard to beat the optical qualities of an RGP 👊🏼
Never mind I got it !👌
Sam... Have you posted any videos on Contact Solutions?
Not specifically, Isabel. I will have to add that to the library!
Hi Sam ., I know this video is a few years old . My question is . Do you have Any videos on contact lens solutions & S. O. A.P ? Thanks so much
Hey! Not yet, but I am planning on expanding the video collection soon!

Would you recommend sceral lenses (or orthok) for people with (very)dry eyes? Thank you so much in advance🙏
Hi I still not passed I am studying hard and thanks so much you are been so helpful 🙏

Hi Sam
Do you have any book about NCLE
Hey! So sorry I wish 😞
Just videos right now! Thank you for watching.
Sorry all this we are talking about GP lenses right ?
Primarily soft lenses!
@@nclecontactlenstrainingI love your videos but not so sure about the drawings 😉
@@IntegrityMeansAll that’s ok. I’m not so sure of my drawings either lol
