Yeah I’m nostalgic for 2021-22 era AI where people were feeding in every lyric of a song and editing it together and that was a trend and consistently hilarious. When it wasn’t good enough that people would start actually pretending they drew it or using text generative AI to cheat at school, when it was shit enough to be consistently funny in what it reveals about the corpus it’s trained on. When it was shit enough to be genuinely art on some level because whenever you were using it you were making a funny joke about the corpus it’s trained on
It’s still funny to make it generate text though- image models are illiterate because they have no way of knowing how letters combine into words- Matt Rose has done some great videos on this

AI content that is just funny or creepy is great. Cuz it’s uncanny, close to being human but not human enough. But with the improvements to AI, it’s closer to what an example of bad art that a person new to creating is capable of. And that’s scary.

This stuff *is* to some extent what they're talking about with AI tools enabling human creatives.
