I love this man. In shorts he delivers a masterclass. Simplicity, humility, enormous technique, enormous talent from one of the best "guitar" of our time. Beloved Pepe, of our heart.
Thank's very very Mr pépé. I very like your video.
Pepe sir , you are the best ! Thank you for sharing this wonderful valuable and abundant technique on UA-cam . May you reap to a 100 year old with good health !
The riding a bike analogy will stay with me for life. It solved my right hand issues instantly and it's the weirdest feeling but it really feels like riding a bike. Pepe is a genius! Thank you!!
Thank you so much for sharing these videos with the world - they've been an extraordinary help to me and doubtless to many others. Pepe Romero is my favorite classical + flamenco guitarist by far. He's incredible, and you (Andrey) are clearly a very talented player yourself. Never stop playing. By the way, I love the harmony accidentally created at 1:16 haha. Someone should write a Recuerdos duet.
When Pepe takes a pencil and draws on paper the fine mechanics of this technique is it PURE GOLD. Listen to his old recordings of Requerdos de la Alhambra if you have any doubt he is one of the greatest tremolo players in history. Amazing control and eveness.
the beauty in what Pepe is sharing - and really always shares with us his students(past and present) is that this is what he is thinking himself - its like when he teaches you he is teaching himself again and again and again - rewriting - recoding the activity for his own benefit - and of course for ours if we apply it. No one can have the gifts of his experiences with his dad and Celin, and the flamenco but he is freely giving us all a window into that life.
I feel better as I've struggled with the same technical issues in the past, so it's comforting to know we all go thru that. Its been described, and just relaxing after the stroke, so the finger bounces back, but I like how Peps puts it: mind/ no mind, or conscious,/unconscious, as if the finger has a brain. He's famous for great analogies that help do much.
Amazing lesson on tremolo and no mind. I am reminded of the book Zen in Art of Archery by Eugene Herrigel where he speaks how you reach the ultimate expertise by NO MIND
Michael Nelson In practice it serves to speed up your time returning to the strings, which is most often what slows people down. It's a practice in almost every method book and it helps in right hand development. It may not be crucial in performance situations, though.
What he's saying is after playing the string, the proximal ( middle knuckle lifts ) and in Conjunction with the tip joint flex returns to playing position, and does not stay in the hand while the other fingers play. The distal joints and slight flex, allows for a short orbit placing then finger in a neutral relaxed position, Ready to play again.
This young player had the privilege to have Pepe Romero as his teacher!!!

'You have to learn to do nothing' Perfect
Harry Verey
master yoda
is about doing it right. if you play guitar every day brings a new challenge, if you do not do your nails, is going to sound terrible, etc.
Thank you for shared this class. Amazing oportunity to learn from this guitar master.
Thanks for the best tremolo lesson posted on the internet
“You have to learn to do nothing” - this class is Zen of Classical Guitar!
“Like a pedal in a bicycle”. Even that, by itself, is immensely useful.

IN ADDITION TO INCREDIBLY SMOOTH & MUSICAL PHRASING

Practice slow to become fast. Accuracy builds speed.
This is one of the best tremolos I have heard (Andy's). Not sure how/why it needs to be improved, but yes, this is a good lesson.
Suscrito!
i love this piece of music but What is it??? Please.
Memories of Alhambra by Tarrega
In Pumping Nylon, Scott Tennant suggests planting the Right Hand fingers. Any opinions about this?
Michael Nelson In practice it serves to speed up your time returning to the strings, which is most often what slows people down. It's a practice in almost every method book and it helps in right hand development. It may not be crucial in performance situations, though.
No.
Bravo

Ahh! So helpful.
Hello, could anyone help me by telling you what chord sequence the Maestro uses in this training. Thank you very much.
What is that black thing on his arm for? To not damage the guitar?
