I don't know much (read: anything at all) about Metal, but would it be the sort of thing to bring out his 'rage with the fierceness of a thousand suns' that, heck, has appeared even on his cover of Carole King's "One Fine Day?" Otherwise, Psalms 40:2, Craters of the Moon, See America Right, The Diaz Brothers, Werewolf Gimmick, Amy aka. Spent Gladiator 1, and so on...that sort of thing? I would be okay with that.

The river goes where the water flows: The way we become and the choices we make compound until it’s our new nature. No one knows when the bat cave closed: we learn danger and can act like we’re still there, even when we’re safe and there’s nothing to be running from.
ok so just for the record if anyone is out there who needs to assemble a playlist to listen to for facial electrolysis and is wondering whether this is a good song to put on their playlist of songs to listen to while undergoing facial electrolysis, let me tell you: no. no it is not. i can confirm it is not a good song for that purpose. maybe go with This Year instead.

It sounds great, but why is john so low in the mix? Wasn't sure if my speakers were screwed up at first, kind of hard to hear him over the instrumentals
001tarik1 i think the sounds separate out better heard out loud with good stereo...i think? familiarity with the lyrics helps pick his voice out better too. but yeah, likewise!
I really really really want them to make a whole album with this sound, I love Goths but this one song I need more of
Not especially the same sound, but the band Extra Life has a medieval punk sound to it.

Rebecca Marshall any suggestions for that section with the question marks? I'm still drawing a blank there :S

That's the point. They spend one song proving their goth-rock credentials, and then spend the rest of the album thoroughly deconstructing them.
