Loved the audio stuff in the shop love this even more I love to see the behind the scenes at big shows, interesting to see youd rather stick to a snake then digital and stage boxes but I do appreciate that it's an electronic show and there isn't a huge amount of io to deal with
Glad you like the videos, many things to consider when choosing a signal transport mechanism, one thing with doing festivals is that we always need analog lines for time code, com, talkback and so forth, even when we are on a digico with opticore we still have the need pull an analog snake. perhaps one day...
That was fun to see gary. I love seeing the McCauley's getting love with their new fangled cousins. EDM just has never ending sub needs. I remember starting out and running 4 different sub models and types (horn loaded, front radiating) together for EDM and carving out frequency ranges for them to operate in. It looked ugly and sounded great in the small rooms I was operating in XD
Without a doubt, the video is very educational, all in detail and by steps. It's one of the best audio system assembly videos I've seen. You just earned another subscriber. One question, what output power does this entire system have?
What is the model of the outside subs , I know you said it was an LAcoustic rig but I didn’t recognize the outter subs . I recognized the KS28 for sure ! Just not the outter sides ..
Great video! It would be interesting to see what tools you use to actually tune the system as a whole and what that process looks like. Also, I noticed most of the subs said "Ford" on the back. Are they being provided by you or is that just a coincidence?
Hi Waxing, We use smart live to tune the system, we plan to make a video of the process, The company is Ford Audio Service, I am the owner, Thanks for commenting!
Hi Kevin, glad you enjoy, we have an LM44 in the rack, L-Net gives us all we need most days, i always lean towards a less is more approach as they can easily become a tool of sonic butchery. I've used lake for many years as crossovers and loved them in that application, its a great tool when or if you need it on a processed system, it was not in play on this gig as it really wasn't necessary to do any extra routing or system eq or limiting. We will dig into our approach for system tuning in future videos. thanks for watching!
The big problem with L Acoustics, this "marketing champion brand" is that it has never manufactured one loudspeaker and does not give the name of its supplier. On the other hand, the boxes are very well made. The problem is when you have to change a loudspeaker, the obstacle course. Finally, given the price it costs for assembly, I prefer to move towards JBL VTX (world best line array of the audio industry) or Adamson or the great RCF TT, it has nothing to compare.
So much power. As a lifelong audiophile I am jealous of your job.
Great video! I bet that l'acoustics system sounded brilliant!
I was there, it was super awesome. Thank you for everyone that helped make EDM shows possible.

Good video! Intrested to see the tuneing process for EDM shows particularly. And what separates "DJ shows" from more conventional shows FOH wise.
So dope! Love seeing the master at work! 🙌
Very cool!! Thank you for the tour!
Great video, really enjoyed it! Please make more like this.
Thanks Jim Bob! we really enjoy making them, stay tuned!

Am i crazy for wanting to put those line array booth monitors in my garage?
Why is there a designated monitor engineer and console for a pair of inputs and a couple monitors. Overkill?
Fantastic! Thank you
Wow it's amazing

Hi, they are McCauley M882 made in USA
Still love the Quick Latch!

can i get one ?
Maybe one day I'll get to where Gary is standing now.
Awesome Gary! Love the setup! Do you run something like Lake Processor for tuning or do you rely on amp processing?

So big digital mixers for only one dj. 😁
A single CL foh + QL as mon can do it easy.
We look to fulfill the artists riders, they don't request QL or CL consoles, Thanks for watching, don't forget to subscribe!
Can never have enough subs right lol 😂.
😍😍💯💯✔✔
lol I can run my whole system with 60A 120V single phase...
