Is there much of a difference between different brands of performance nunchucks? I want to get a good pair of flashy fast nunchucks but can’t decide between GForce GX11 or waiting for XMA demo nunchaku to come back in stock or maybe the pair in this video. What would you recommend?
I have the GeForce ones, and they work well for me. The only issue is that the chrome surface material is not very durable. I have not tried many other performance pairs, but as long as you purchase them from a reputable brand, they should work well.
How do you know what link to get, I see there is a three chain in 9 in and 11 inch, and then they have a 4 chain in 12 in? Can you go into detail on this please
I use that exact brand of proformance nunchucks, and the shorter chain makes it easier to use double chucks, one for each hand. Its easier to catch it so both ends are in one hand. Weather or not you should get preformance chucks depends on how you plan to use them. Im a Black Belt, so a shorter chain is better for grabbing the chuck with one hand, so I can do kicks. For the durability of the chrome finish, I have noticed it does ware down and tear easily, so if you don't plan to go to tornaments or competitions, and still want a shorter chain, proforce has a good chuck that uses simple paint instead of a chrome wrap. For self defence, you should Not use preformance chucks, as they are made for show at tornaments and compitisions. They would Not be very effective in self defense. He has good advice and info on what preformance chucks are for, but the end answer should be, it depends. If your using nunchucks the same way he does throughout most of his videos, than don't use preformance nunchucks. If you do martial arts, and plan to add some kicks, than you can try something similar and cheaper from proforce, and if you like the shorter chain, and plan to go to tornaments, get lots of practice with the gforce chucks before you use them, as the weight will be lighter. Overall, this video does have a lot of helpful advice.
Hey bro i just bought my first nunchuck like 17 hours ago and ive been in your channel like a month or so i learned nunchuks because of you thanks for helping oh yeah i kinda forgot i cant really do the redirects and wrist rolls i can only do figure 8 then attacking an enemy with a side attack then downstrokes upstrokes i can do the "stopping" effect that bruce lee do can you teach me how to do some wrist rolls and redirect i cant really follow some of your tutorials btw my inspiration using nunchuks not other than bruce lee himself his my master and you teach some of his move but the problem is i cant really do wrist rolls and redirects
I am glad you are enjoying the channel! Nunchucks will take some time to get used to and I would not recommend even trying wrist rolls right at the start. Be sure to check out some of my beginner tutorials so that you can get a hang of spinning nunchucks and then I guarantee that you will be able to learn wrist rolls later on. Keep up the good work!
I would assume that they have a relatively similar weight if they are not hollow. However, I have little experience with them so let me know how it goes.
Linus Nunchaku I just got them a few days ago and each polypropylene stick is about 220 grams I think. So 440 grams and I’m not counting the chain. They’re rock solid! Love it
hello my true friend . how are you, I'm waiting long for you . you have a lot of nunchaku . your nunchaku is good. I love your nunchaku . Can you send one for me?
Good content as always.
facts
Thank you!
Always liked your stuff. You're a fucking warrior bro.
Thanks, I appreciate it!
I like the graphite nunchucks from Century because they have 4 links instead of 3 like most other performance nunchucks

It's not gonna happen overnight. Takes tons and tons of practice. Dozens of hours

@@LinusNunchaku thanks
Have you got any comments about the telescopic metal type?
I do not, however be sure they are of a decent quality.
Are the wooden ones better or the steel ones?
That depends on your personal preference and what you plan on using them for.
Polypropylene are almost as heavy as wooden ones right? I bought some and I’m still waiting for them to arrive so I don’t know what it feels like
