The Crank bolt worked itself out from the crank hub timing gear. Due to the high revving and power being produced, the timing was is well over normal abuse. The crank hub gear has been a blown motor culprit on multiple bmw N54s 800HP builds, theres an upgraded part out there. See if theres any difference in dimensions on the part from N52 to N54. If so replicate it accordingly. your cams and crank scored once that crank hub timing gear went loose. I plan on a build like this but i will be using the N52 Head & N54 Long block, to avoid having to sleeve cylinders & forged crankshaft. Rods are forged in both motors but would still recommend upgraded ones.
Thanks for the knowledgeable comment. I'm also wanting to eventually do an n54 block n52 head. The odd thing is that this car was making maybe only 300whp at high altitude on the setup. Many people running the ess kit and some with turbo with no reported issues with crank hub that I've seen. That's what confuses me. I like the design and price of the vtt crank bolt catch, but it doesn't look like it'll fit n52. Will have to do more research

Normally the harmonic balancer/crank pulley should have given you some massive vibrations before it totally failed like that. I've never seen that happen before but now it has me super paranoid about my own car lol. Was anything leaking onto the pulley or serpentine belt? If so, that can definitely start to corrode the rubber. Do you follow Vehicular DIY here on UA-cam? That's the name of his channel and that guy knows literally everything about these cars and he almost always answers every comment. I would try to show him your build video and this video and see what he says. That freshie is for sure going to last you a long time. I'd be more worried about the transmission becoming the weakest link if you try and squeeze 500 hp out of that engine. I've also heard that you can swap cams from the more robust N54 instead of the hollow cam but I don't know if that is true and/or how much it will benefit you. I would also try to follow the BPC build they did and see what they say. Was it you that said you know Bob from there? Cool video. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to this even though I wish you would have kept the blower instead of going turbo, but I get it lol.
It gave no warning on here, I was just looking at the belt too as I replaced my AC compressor and did not see any wierd movement while I watched it at it was running. There were no leaks, ofh, vc, oil cooler were all fresh, and nothing dripping. I do follow vehicular diy, I might send it to him to see what he thinks! Good idea. And I was going to keep the Supercharger for a dyno and 1/4 mile, but didn't justify pulling everything, installing a new engine then putting it back on just to sell it after since I'm going turbo. the crank pulley is bolted by 6 torx bolts. the hub itself breaks completely loose below around 140ft lbs, which is the same torque for most truck wheels soooo.

I didn't end up going turbo. I bought a new chassis and am doing a 300HP+ NA build
How much for the new engine? is it local pickup?
I bought the new motor for $650 with 70k miles, friend hooked it up

Yes, I've done many this way. It's best to remove the hood
