On this bag review channel - we focus on a tech based carry - no firearms.
Check out the links on my channel page for more info or to learn how to support what we are doing here! Affiliate links in the video description do result in support as well if you use them.
Each video will feature two things I loved about the bag or item and two things I wish were different along with an overall recommendation of who this may be the perfect bag for.
All reviews are 'one take' - meaning that I speak from the heart, share my real thoughts, and don't edit anything. You get me and the item I'm reviewing, that's it.

Full disclosure - some bags are provided by the company to me for purposes of a review. I NEVER get paid by these companies and NEVER promise a positive review to these companies. My reviews are always simple and honest. #EDC #review #fashion
Just today I hung my sunglasses from the side zipper grabs/pulls! Handy!
I really like the bag. Knowing that a Kindle fits is great.
This may be my favorite bag that I own which is crazy. It’s not my favorite looking bag, but the functionality of the bag is epic.
Great review of the sling. Looks like it will fit my needs for travel.
Im using it right now on a trip to Japan!
I love this bag. Great review!
Me too! Thanks for watching! This bag is really good!
love this bag, love the look and I think its perfect to carry a camera, chargers etc and iPad mini 6...just wish the strap was crossbody and maybe padded slightly like the Travel Sling 2
It’s an excellent bag.
What about just to hold gym gear stuff not too much basically wrist wraps and fat grips and a jump rope ?
I don't go to a gym - but if I did - I would get a beater nike bag or under armour bag and not worry about it
fyi it‘s a really nice bag, but if you want to buy it in europe you have to pay taxes…in my case to germany it was 1/3 from the price. i think it‘s an information that maybe helps the decision of buying or not. greetings
I'm REALLY leaning to this bag. Just one thing, does the Camelbak Podium Bottle 750ml (10.75 x 3in / 27.3 x 7.62cm) fit?
Maybe because I've been seeing a lot of Aer stuff compared to Tomtoc but I'm open to suggestions. Loved the Bellroy's colors and design, Alpaka's latch point for a stabilizer strap for cycling and Aer's organization! Was open for the Chrome Kadet but honestly too big and would make me carry more stuff 😂
I'm so sorry - I don't have one of those bottles to try. I can tell you that a 32 oz Hydroflask DOES fit, but it takes up the entire space.
@@ThePerfectBag Thank you so much for giving me a point of reference! Mine is just 22oz and after a quick google search, mine is a tad smaller than the 32oz Hydroflask. I wanna stay positive and say that I could still maybe fit in my wallet, earbuds, powerbank and a face towel on the main compartment and then keys, floss and smaller items on the front compartment and then phone, passport if travelling on the back compartment BUUTTT maybe that's a bit of a reach? XD
I was right commenting on your video seeing that you've been replying to more recent comments on older videos! Awesome coverage on the bags (fun to see monster hunter on here too! :D) and hoping this channel for the best!
Im traveling Japan for three months with either the Cotopaxi Allpa 42 or Aer Travel 3. I need a day pack or sling to hold camera but also thinking camera and souvenirs... really cant decide if I want a sling like this or a small day backpack. So many choices....
Can I suggest that you take a look at the Alpha One Niner Chio X? It was my best friend in Japan.
@@ThePerfectBag I actually looked at that and really liked it but worried that with weight and time walking the city it may hurt my shoulders vs a backpack style? Strap needs a pad or something?
You could add a pad…I didn’t have issues - but yes it depends on how much you carry I’d say!
Isn't that a Day Sling 3? you are calling it a 2? Just wondering.
Day Sling 3 Max X-Pac
Hey Klint i have using the Day Sling 3 X-Pac the smaller version for more than a month and it has revolutionised my EDC. I used to be a Pocketmon, stuffing everything in pants pockets and i even wear cargo pants if i need more pockets. I like the organisation of the sling and i have different loadouts at different times. Its truly my daily sling. This is also my first ever X-Pac and it has been a great help during heavy downpour. I need your thoughts. I am considering either the Tomtoc T21 X-Pac 4.5L or the Day Sling 3 Max X-Pac for heavier loadouts like an iPad mini, DJI Pocket 3, Insta360. Which of the 2 would you lean more towards?
Thx for watching - and glad you're getting into slings! If you really enjoy the Aer, I think the Aer Day Sling 3 Max will be a home run for you. It's my favorite bag they make.
Is the bag durable or do you have to be gentle with it to avoid tears and damage
Durable! No issues at all - I am not gentle with bags
Is this the day sling 2 or 3 max? You say one thing and the title is something else. Also, is it the 12.9 iPad or the 10.9? There isn’t an 11.9….
Thanks yes! I fixed it in the video description. This is the day sling 3 max. The iPad is an iPad Pro 11 inch with magic keyboard case
@@ThePerfectBag thanks for the clarification. Great video
AER Daysling 2?
Are you asking if I've reviewed it?
@@ThePerfectBag No. you state in the review that the bag you are reviewing is the AER daysling 2, that was all.
@@neilattuk ah yeah - I messed that up :)
@@ThePerfectBag But your videos are excellent. Before buying a new bag, I always check to see if you’ve got a video run through of it.
Much appreciated! I do my best!
Great review! I was wondering if the AirPod max headphones fit into this sling?
Ok. I just tested, and they fit just fine in the main compartment. Of course they take up a lot of space, but absolutely no issue with the fit.
Thank you so much!
Wouldnit fit an Ipad Pro and a small mirrorless camera with a lens or two?
I think it would. Certainly, depends on your lens size
Could you specify the size of your iPad: is it 11” or 12.9”? Thanks
I always say 11.9 for some reason! It’s 11 - the smaller iPad Pro
Could I fit a thin-ish long sleeve hoodie inside the bag?
Yes! I fold in half and then roll and have no issues
@@ThePerfectBag Excellent -- thanks! When you showed the expanded version it looked like one would fit but wanted to check. Appreciate the timely response! I have the Day sling 2 and love it but when I travel I would like something with a bit more room for gear on the plane and about town. This seems like it will fit the bill!
Do you think the x-Pac version is worth the additional $20? Thanks for this video! :)
Yes!
I have the City Sling 2 X-pac and love it. Planning to get the Day Sling 3 Max in x-pac too. Worth the $$.
About to travel abroad and wanted a sling for my airplane essentials as well as to carry around various cities. I want something that's comfortable and accessible while slung so I can quickly pull out passport, money, sunglasses, etc. Also hold a power bank, tech accessories, maybe a small tripod. I was leaning toward the Alpaka Bravo Sling Max and then considering the smaller (non max) version... since you've reviewed both and other comparable bags.. I wanted your advice on what to buy. I want something that can carry everything I need and be easy to access without unslingling.. but also not get away or look too bulky. I'm a big 6'ish guy.
Well I can tell you that I just returned from two weeks in England and I was rocking the Aer Day Sling 3 Max. It had enough room for absolutely everything I needed and never got too bulky. If you’re walking a lot, I don’t think you’ll want something that is too huge. I’d go with that bag or the Alpaca Bravo (coyote color way looks so sick). Alternately, the TomToc that I did a review of would also work well for what you listed.
Notably - I could have picked from about a dozen sling bags in my closet and the Aer Day Sling 3 Max was what I chose.
how about the Bellroy 9L venture?
@@alvinbartolome1239 haven't used it yet - but I hear great, great things!
@@ThePerfectBag Hi, curious whether you've compared Bellroy venture 9L with Day 3 Max. I just bought the Bellroy but find it's hard to hold my iPad 11 with case and hence decide to try the Aer one.
Would this bad fit the 12.9 IPad Pro version? If not, which bag is the next step up? Thanks man!
No it wouldn’t - I think you’ll want the travel sling for that
I did a review of that travel sling too! Search my channel for Aer
Would you choose this over the Alpaka Bravo X Sling v2 ??
I have both. Depends what your main computing device is - what do you carry everyday?
@@ThePerfectBag iPhone 13PM
Keys
AirPods
Small journal
Pens
Sunglasses
And potentially Kindle or iPad mini by Christmas
if it’s just a mini iPad you get I would do the aer day sling max all day long. You won’t regret it.
@@ThePerfectBag thanks man! I’ll have to check it out.
Day sling 2? A bit confusing.
Yeah - sorry - it’s the Day Sling 3 Max
Would this fit a Steamdeck?
I don’t have a steam deck to test fit. But I’ve got to assume that it can since I can get my 11 inch iPad into it.
Isn’t it going to be really painful to carry an iPad in this without a padded strap?
I do it all the time - isn’t an issue for me!
Aer Sling Bag Comparison - Travel Sling 2 vs Tech Sling 2 vs Day Sling Max 3 - Which Should You Buy?
ua-cam.com/video/-hN1x5Nsn5g/v-deo.html
How does this compare with the Greenroom136 6L sling?
Alvin are you talking about the metrorunner or the drifter?
@@ThePerfectBag yeez, the runner not the 9L Metromonger, thank u.
