I know you said you have a lot of SPF to get through but once you make a dent in some of those I think you'd really like Thank You Farmer. It's my absolute favorite and feels so good on the skin. You're always so sweet, thanks for including me
Hey Jess! Elf does have a redesigned larger stipple brush which is AWESOME. It's called the Domed Stipple Brush. It's like $6 at Target and I have modified my will to make sure I'm buried with it. Give it a whirl. xo
Hi Jessica! I hope you don't take this the wrong way (and neither do your followers, I'm a follower of yours as well). But ever since you've started this series, and throughout most of your videos, the people you recommend to watch are literally all white. I would very much invite you to follow and support more BIPOC youtubers since they don't tend to have as much reach as white conterparts. It will also help you notice little things like shade inclusion, "nude" lipsticks, how some spf leaves white casts on darker skintones, etc.
Agreed. I thought this was going to be your realization, that you follow/promote almost no YTers of color, and was disappointed that it wasn't. UA-cam's algorithm is awful at promoting BIPOC's videos on/near white beauty channels, *including* people you may already subscribe to. White folks have to do the work of seeking out creators of color and making sure to purposefully keep up with their content. Some I enjoy: Tina from TheFancyFace, Samantha Jane, YvetteLuvsBeauty, Andrea Renee, JuicyJas, Allura Beauty, Everyday Heidi.
In her defense, I tend to watch you tubers with similar coloring, eyes and hair, just to see how colors look on them, especially foundation and concealer, before I make a purchase I regret. I do watch people who have very different coloring but usually they are makeup artists and I learn more about application techniques. I also tend to watch older influencers to learn how products work on older skin too. There are so many very good youtubers but I don’t want to spend too much time watching videos so you do need to filter out many people.
I came to say the same thing. When I saw the tagline about this being a reflection on who you follow I was thinking that this would be in support of diversifying your feed. Strong support as always Jessica, but we can all do better!
You are the only UA-camr I will watch ads all the way through 🤣 but I love watching you because you don’t make me feel weird about not wearing heavy glam makeup every day or not using a ton of concealer !!! I’ve loved watching you and you’re channel grow over the past few years💞💞
I love it that you still talk regularly about other creators and the products you find because of them - makes me feel like the beauty community is exactly still that, a community! ❤️
I can relate. I’m trying to get through my WnW blush Apricot in the Middle and use it as a base for any other peach pigment/gold shadow on the mobile lid.
Just pull the stopper out of the CT flawless filter to get all the product out. You can use some needle nose pliers or tweezers (not your sharp good pair though) and just stick the rubber stopper and pry it out. It’s easy.
I love seeing youtubers being kind to each other and giving shoutouts! You're so sweet and genuine. This is the side of the beauty community I wish got more attention.
I’ve been to the Ulta and Sephora near me (to return a couple fails from the insane amounts of online shopping I did in quarantine 🙈) and they are DEPRESSING!! My ulta had packing tape over all the testers, and Sephora had removed them from the shelves completely. 😭 I knew it before I went and totally understand it’s necessary for safety, but the sight was jarring and no fun. ☹️
I agree - went to Sephora and if you even touched a product (e.g. to read a label), you had to put them in a basket they gave you (so it could be sanitized). Not enjoyable at all.
Tip for those with an FSA account - you can purchase all the SuperGoop products with SPF (15 or higher I think) with your FSA. I love their CC cream! Goes for other skincare with enough SPF that it qualifies as sunscreen.
I LOVE SEEING THIS TYPE OF VIDEOS! IT'S LIKE FINDING HIDDEN GEMS! I AM VERY PICKY WITH FOUNDATIONS AND THE WET N' WILD DEWY IS MY FAVE DRUGSTORE! IT IS WAY BETTER THAN MANY HIGH END! I'LL BE GETTING SOME OF THE PRODUCTS YOU USED! 💕💕💕
I live in Northern Virginia and there's an Ulta about 15 minutes from me, and I went there to buy a few things recently. It was so nice to get out and go to one of my favorite stores!
You are the UA-camr that I watch where all your recommendations that I buy I love. You have great taste in products that I love as well, you entertain me, but you also feel like my friend and I love catching up on your life. Thank you for just being you 💕
Jessica, you are absolutely the you tuber I most love to watch because I end up loving almost everything you recommend and I do know that you are being absolutely honest on your channel. For me, you are that person you spoke of. Thank you so much for doing your job so well, so honestly, and so humorously!
Literally every time you like a product, it not only is exactly my taste, but I never have to try out different shades anymore because we are the exact same shade, always. We also have identical skin needs and tastes in everything. It makes my life so easy. 😂 It’s also perfect because you also happen to be my favorite channel EVER. I never miss a video and I’ve been binge watching all your older videos for weeks now while I’m up in the middle of the night with my newborn. You and your channel mean so much to me. Thanks for being you. ♥️
Hi Jessica! Thanks for speaking out so thoughtfully recently. I noticed that all the UA-camrs you mentioned in this video are white; as you think about using your voice/platform, elevating creators of color would be a great way to level the field for black members of the beauty community.
I love the way jess always makes it clear its for lighter skin as in the past ive wasted alot of money buying wrong colours for my dark skin ..... thanks jess
Something about this video felt super nostalgic and cosy, if I’m honest I feel like you got a new burst of life during quarantine the videos the last couple months reminded me why you are one of my favs. You’re one of the few people I watch that I could watch hours upon hours of content
this is such a good topic , I've had a bit of a clear of of channels I follow and who is actually genuine and honest and about their work and I truly believe you are one of those channels and that inspires me so much xx
for a stippling brush: the elf beautifully precise line (clear handle) has a couple good stippling brushes!! I use the "precision airbrush stipple" (105) for cream blush, and the "precision airbrush blender" (103) for cream bronzer. they also have the domed stipple, which could work for either!!
I’m medium tan (golden olive) and I absolutely LOVE that Mac “So Natural” blush. It is so beautiful!! It is so flattering on my skin tone and I am much darker than you, Jess. Thank you so much for making this video. ♥️
Thank you! I’ve been going back and forth on this blush as I haven’t seen anyone with a medium tan skin tone wear it and everyone says it won’t work on anyone darker than a NC25/27 in MAC.
Ladies, you definitely have to build it up more than a lighter skinned person, but it looks very pretty. It does look very natural so if you’re looking for a pop of color, this blush is probably not for you. Hope that’s helpful.
My favorite stippling brush is the MAC 187. It's expensive, but I've used mine everyday for the past 7 years and it still looks like new. It rarely sheds and I find it's the perfect size for blush!
I’m watching on Thursday. 😊 I actually went to a Sephora store yesterday and an Ulta store today. It felt really good to be back! They are being really careful and safe in our stores in Kansas.
Just discovered you and loved this video. One of my favorite youtubers is Ali Andreea (Her first name is actually Andreea.) She's adorable. Very genuine.
Thank you, because i have bought alot of things you have recommended and love everything. Thanks for always keeping it real and down to earth it is a breath of fresh air when your videos and vlogs on your husbands channel come on. I enjoy it all.
Love how forthcoming you are with what you like and who you recommend. I’m loving the Nuxe lip balm you recommended. A great channel is Cate The Great Beauty, she give you honest reviews on lots of cream products and skincare.
What a joy to watch u talking and doing make up.... no fuss, no "look at me" attitude, no "I'm better than u" kinda vibe. Well done Jess, keep on being this genuine person. P.s. Bobby brown ",Love Letter" has a more rosy tint and it freshens up ur complexion on a spot. Comes from a new mommy 🥱😅
i absolutely LOVE the Milk Baked Bronzer 😍😍😍 i just bought it, & i use it every single day with a bit of concealer & mascara even if i don’t wear anything else just so i don’t look so red/pale 😁😁😁
I’ve had a long day, just busy but definitely a good day which was made even better BECAUSE, I was like, ahhh I’m gonna go home & take a nice bubble bath & relax. Maybe even watch a UA-cam video. And I legitimately said to myself, I hope Jessica Braun maybe uploaded a new video...and when I opened up UA-cam SURE ENOUGH! So excited! Thanks for being the best, Jessie! 💛💛💛✨
🙋♀️I just wanted to comment on Your vlog....that tent was AWESOME 😍. Happy belated birthday to Tyler and Gigi..I too am a June baby (bunch of Gemini's here)😉. I also finally bought the Bambi masacar (Jessica made me buy LOL) and it's Great. Thank you so much for sharing, blessing 🌹 P.s. fyi..elf is having a 60%off sale.
I recently bought the divine skies eyeshadow, the no. 7 powder and Bambi lash mascara after you raved about them. And I have to tell you I absolutely LOVE them ❤️
You would absolutely love Robert Walsh! Every time I watch him I think about you bc your views and feelings about makeup align so much. He’s all about makeup that looks good in real life 💓
I work from home and I was glad best buy had curbside because I had to get a printer, a memory card, some cables, and other random stuff. The day I went, I saw a bunch of other people getting printers too so I think their business has probably been booming! Anyway, loved this video! I always trust your recommendations so it's fun to see whose recs you like. I really want that Maybelline single shadow now!
Girl I had to pause the video when you said you wanted to try the Shiseido foundation. I literally got it today and tried it on. GIRL STOP DONT WALK RUN AND GET IT RIGHT NOW!! I looked airbrushed. It looked like shyte the moment I put it but then magic happened and holy moly it looked amazing blended into my skin so well. You won’t regret it I guarantee it
My favorite stippling brush is discontinued is an Ecotools one that was a domed duofiber brush. Like a smaller version of the duofiber bronzer brush that you like. The brush that resembles it the most is the Smashbox Blurring foundation brush or the Smashbox Stippling foundation. On the affordable side I love smaller brushes for blush so I love the Elf small stippling brush or the Real Techniques Setting brush.
The darker highlight in the Smashbox Cali Contour is perfect on your lids with either the bronzer or blush in the crease. Super easy everyday eye. I usually put a little of the lighter highlight on the inner third of the lid.
The E.L.F. precision airbrush stipple (105) is really good, I find it softer and easier to buff products onto my skin compared to a standard duo fibre stipple brushes.
I saved this to watch Tuesday morning as I prepare us to take my husband for a small medical procedure. I’m extremely nervous so I enjoyed your company this AM 😊
Samantha Ravndahl always talks about her fav elf brush and it’s amazing for creams! You should consider picking that one up! It’s the precise airbrush stipple brush 💕
Your description box is always on point, very appreciated! I have bought so many products because of you but I am obsessed now with the brand Aveeno thanks to you.
Wow! I already have most of these products & I’m “getting ready with you” too while I watch this. Last night I watched Inception and now I wanna say this feels like Inception 😳😂💖
I am terrible at finding shade matches for me. I always go too light and yellow. But I started trying shades Jessica said she was and well... Jessie you are my exact shade match so thank you. Honestly the shades you use blend into my skin so perfectly.
Please do the foundation tag!!! Its the what foundation you would wear for examples a nightout, everday, to pool ,to a festival,to the gym...places like that!!
I decluttered that smashbox contour kit. I just wasn’t using it enough to keep. I am medium to tan nine months out of the year. That contour kit was only good in the dead of the winter for me. That purchase taught me that I need to be smarter about my purchases.
You and MandyLea are my absolute must watch UA-camrs! I would try almost anything either of you recommend. Straight talk, no BS, no cussing, and honest. Love your videos!!!
Our Ulta store is open and I was so happy!! I probably stayed way to long, but I just couldn’t help it. Plus I probably talked to the workers probably way to long. It was so fun to be back in the store
Girrrrrrrrrl, you know I watched this the same day you posted it! Most of my (admittedly, rather small) make-up collection is because of your recommendation! I don't do my make-up often; maybe a couple times a month, so I really value having a small but highly curated collection. I think my favorite things I bought that you suggested were the Dose of Color lip glosses (Just My Type is my favorite), the Physician's Formula foundation (I think they've discontinued it, nooooo), and L'Oreal Lash Paradise. I also started using Paula's Choice because of you, which is unquestionably the BEST discovery, and has literally (yes, literally) changed my life.
I bought the No 7 powder & concealer a few days ago finally AND I love it.. I wasn't sure what if any of the foundations they had was any good but loving both those that I've learned about from you.. THANK YOU DARLING!! Xoxoxo
The Real Techniques Light Layer Blush brush is great for bouncy cream blush and bronzer products and liquid blush products too. They make other brushes in the light layer line, but I can do my entire base (minus concealer) with that one brush.
I also love peachy tones, the NARS Nectar palette is one of my most used palettes just now, as well as the shade Tone from the Biba palette. I actually ended up buying the Too Faced sweet peach and just peachy mattes the other day and I’m so excited to use them!! Also colourpop Yes Please. I just adore peachy tones 🍑
There is a small spatula tool sold at Walmart that will help scrape the rest of that CT foundation out of that bottle. It costs around $4. Works great. Also, you should check out Lemeri Beauty. They make brushes that are so lux and yet inexpensive! I have bought 2 sets and love them! I'm a bit of a brush addict and they are my favorites so far. Their kabuki style brushes are dense enough and still soft. (I emphasize that because you are looking for a stippling brush and its kind of in that family)
I always buy based on your and Emilys recommendations. Theres been hits and misses from both of you, naturally, but most of the products I use I love. Im convinced I need to try the Em Cosmetics eye palette. I always think I suck at eyeshadow and that I should just stick to using 3 or 4 colors, in small palettes.
When it stops coming out on the doefoot (CT Flawless Filter) you pull the stopper out. You can get almost all of it out. If you have a spatula you can get it all.
I have bought so many recommendations of yours. I recently bought the testers of YSL Mon Paris EDT, Chloe Nomade, Dolce Garden, and Dior Joy. I loved them all and can’t wait to get the full bottles because they are gorgeous. My mom even loved them and we have completely different tastes in perfume. I bought her the testers too! I bought them without even smelling them because I trust all of your recommendations.
I just got my em cosmetics order today. I got two of the blush serums and the eyeshadow palette! The packaging for the blush serums reminds me a bit of the clove and hollow liquid blush. The packaging looks like a nail polish. It is a clean beauty option, and it is also really good.
I have and love so many of these products. The Divine Sky’s palette has become my favorite palette. Love the MAC blush but have had a chance to wear it much since I have to wear a mask all day for work.
You always make me buy stuff. Also Jen Phelps and Mandy Lea have the same effect on me. I adore all of you. You always remind me of a cool Disney princess in the best way possible! I love how real you are!!!
This is so funny to me because every time my husband sees me in a makeup aisle he’ll say, “Did Jessica make you want to buy this?” LOL! The answer is always yes!💕
If anyone is looking for a good sunscreen, the Missha Sun Milk is amazing. Asian sunscreens in general use different ingredients and protect against multiple levels of sun waves. The SunMilk one also sits excellently as a base for makeup.
I totes bought the small milk bronzer because everyone talked about how huge the full size one is. I don’t feel like I’ll ever run out of it. I love it!
Talking about youtubers made me buy it, I bought l’oreal paris rouge signature in “i lead”, sephora brush 56, and l’oreal bambi eye because of you, and I love them all. I always trust your recommendation. Thanks! 💕
For cream blush: I am loving the Real Techniques 200, I got it when I got the Fenty cream blush, and turned out great for stamping. I bought it from amazon, super affordable!
I know you said you have a lot of SPF to get through but once you make a dent in some of those I think you'd really like Thank You Farmer. It's my absolute favorite and feels so good on the skin. You're always so sweet, thanks for including me
Yesss!! Love it xx I have the water gel one but have u tried their glow essence one? Love your channel by the way 💙💙💙💙💙💙🖤❤💛💚
They have a glow essence one?
I tried the Thank You Farmer because of Danna Ann! It’s awesome. And you can get a two-pack from Costco :)
@@lisadgingersnaps9843 yes x
I was trying to grab a pen out of my small purse the other day... I pulled out 8 lip liners. I didn’t have a pen.
I have so many lip products in my purse it's crazy. I look like I'm a traveling salesman.
😆 lol
This is so me 🤣😂🤣
Lol I’ve had to cross items off my grocery list with a lip liner when i didnt have a pen

"Shut up Jerry!" I literally laughed out loud haha
I did too! She is such a hoot! I love her channel!
Andrea Rada RIGHT!!!😂😂😂😂 needed that!
Yes! Had to stop and tell my bf what I was laughing at!
So did i! I was like "why is he named Jerry?? Poor Jerry" 😂😂
LOL same!
Hey Jess! Elf does have a redesigned larger stipple brush which is AWESOME. It's called the Domed Stipple Brush. It's like $6 at Target and I have modified my will to make sure I'm buried with it. Give it a whirl. xo

Tip for those with an FSA account - you can purchase all the SuperGoop products with SPF (15 or higher I think) with your FSA. I love their CC cream! Goes for other skincare with enough SPF that it qualifies as sunscreen.

You and Taylor are the two I go to for fair neutral or cool-toned product recommendations.
Real techniques stippling brush is my favorite, I use it with my colourpop super shock cheek blush in birthday suit everyday.
Just want you to know that you’re my favorite person on UA-cam! Love your videos ❤️
Makeup spatulas!! Best purchase ever! I bought some at Ulta and I’ve dug out so much product out of tubes I thought were done!
I love you too, Jessica! I always watch you the same day you upload, lol. It's always lovely to see you!
I have bought a few things you recommend and usually end up loving them. Wearing no.7 powder and elf bite sized shadow (rose water) right now.
“Shut up Jerry!” Seriously my favorite part. 😂 I so look forward to your videos, such a relaxing part of my day!
I bought the No 7 powder & concealer a few days ago finally AND I love it.. I wasn't sure what if any of the foundations they had was any good but loving both those that I've learned about from you.. THANK YOU DARLING!!
Xoxoxo
Lol... you have an obsession with cups and drinking bottles. Cracks me up! I have the problem with things like that too.
The supergoop looks glowy but not like shiny or oily - looks SO nice!
The eco tools stipleing brush is really good I use it for the milk baked bronzer
This is so funny to me because every time my husband sees me in a makeup aisle he’ll say, “Did Jessica make you want to buy this?” LOL! The answer is always yes!💕
I would love a video on what lip products you keep in your purse!
I like the jelly pop stippling brush by elf. I have two of them. I use it to apply my flower beauty liquid blush.
My ulta is open! It felt so good to roam around in there again. You can't swatch anything but I'll take what I can get!
Jessica I just tried the No.7 powder and you weren’t lying, that stuff is truly amazing, blurring, perfecting. I just had to tell you. 🙊
I love it!
I bought the No 7 lift and luminate powder because you raved about it and I love it as well!!
Talking about youtubers made me buy it, I bought l’oreal paris rouge signature in “i lead”, sephora brush 56, and l’oreal bambi eye because of you, and I love them all. I always trust your recommendation. Thanks! 💕
Jessica YOU'RE legit the youtuber I watch a get my recommendations from! :)
For cream blush: I am loving the Real Techniques 200, I got it when I got the Fenty cream blush, and turned out great for stamping. I bought it from amazon, super affordable!
