Matt Williams is the best 3B of the 90s But wow 😮 So much baseball nostalgia in one place... Joe Morgan, Harry Carey, Barry Bonds, Todd Benzinger, Candlestick Park, Vin Scully, Will the Thrill, Girardi the Catcher... Ah the good old days 👍
In that magical 1993 season that ALMOST saw the Giants make the postseason (103 wins and watched the playoffs on TV), Williams had a 2-HR game on April 18. The second one came after an improbable four-run ninth inning comeback to tie up the game at 12 apiece. Matty came up against former teammate Steve "Bedrock" Bedrosian, and clubbed the first pitch into the left field bleachers to give the Giants a 13-12 walk-off win, and Candlestick went nuts.
I was taken to a night game in the mid 90’s by my pops. It was so cold. We usually did day games with the family. But, this night I got to see candlestick in full hurricane force. I was an ice cube in the left field bleachers watching an actual hotdog wrapper tornado that seemed to just never stop. That place was pure magic.
I'm with you, TJ. Act like you've been there before. Just like when Jerry Rice or Barry Sanders would score a touchdown, they would just flip the ball to the nearest Referee. Matt Williams lead by example. Class, pure class. The big Marine

Matt Williams played great for the Giants
One of the greatest at 3B. If there was a true hall of fame, he'd be in it. But we know what we saw
Definitely an iconic shot of the Stick: hotdog wrappers (and who knows what else) in the outfield at 3:07.

3:02 A big tip of the cap to the left fielder for digging the ball out of the hot dog wrapper tornado at Candlestick Park.
癖のある打ち方です。
打率は低いが長打率は高い典型的なクラッチヒッターでした。🎉
Ah, the stirrups era of baseball!
will clark, matt william, and kevin mitchell
Home run = put your head down and run the bases with modesty. Maybe the last true gentleman of the game. Matty did it right!
Last thing we need is for players to enjoy the game or have fun. Calvinist work ethic at its finest
Okay boomer

The tribe should’ve kept him.
He went to AZ to be close to his kids..And it's a good thing because he got a trophy with the 2001 AD...Indians went home after the ALDS that year...
