    Thanks, good to see the new model and what it is like. Mine is the 19 MY (pre rider modes and quickshifter) and has the SAS & Cannister removal, fuel dongle, Wings Can and lithium polymer battery. I keep the gearing standard as I do 4-5 track days each year on it. Its a great bike but I'm always wondering about trading up to the new model.

      How do you like the quality of the wings? ive heard a bunch of different things about them but I havent actually heard from anyone who owns one lol. How is the quality?

    • @willgarrod9907
      @willgarrod9907 2 роки тому +3

      @@ColumbiaBros in my experience it’s very good. I re packed it at 5’500 miles and all came apart and went back together well. Wings supplied the kit in less than a week. It’s a lightweight race type can which is basically a titanium tube with some packing and a perforated core. People get hung up on these things when in reality it’s the bore diameter and length that dictate the performance. The rest is workmanship and how good the welds etc are. I’m intending to trade my Husky for a KTM 690 this spring and will get another Wings pipe for sure.

    Sweet bike, I've watched all your videos on these. I just put a down payment/reservation on a 2022 690 SMC-R the other day. They're not technically announced yet, but they should be any day now (I've been checking every 5 minutes, lol). I'd absolutely love if they finally put a legit TFT dash on it (like every other bike on the planet in this price range has, and seeing as how it's not 1993 anymore) but I'm not getting my hopes up. At minimum, I'm hoping it includes the gear indicator and RPM like the '21 euro specs have. It will also be interesting to see what the colorway is.
    This will be my first road bike so I'm probably not going to do any mods right away, except I plan on replacing that stock can immediately. I'm ready to pull the trigger on a Wings as soon as the bike's announced and I can be sure that fitment will be the same as '21.
    Those LED turn indicators on the Husky are sick, are they factory or aftermarket?

    • @ColumbiaBros
      @ColumbiaBros  2 роки тому +2

      That’s awesome bro!!! Yea I’m pretty sure that there getting at least the gear indicator and numbered rpm which is nice 👍 and as for the husky those turn signals are aftermarket pretty sure they are on Rottweiler performances site. And thanks for watching! I have a bunch of footage I’m going through now so I’ll be uploading them periodically. I have a review of the new 890 as well coming soon

    The 74 hp listed by the manufacturer is from the crank, not the rear wheel. I did a ton of mods to my 701 SM and got it dyno'd recently. Mine is putting out 77 hp at the rear wheel right now.

    Have a question for 701 experts....... Which conversion of 701 is easier .......SM into 21" enduro or enduro into 17" SM ?
    and front brake disc most likely don't match.....Will difference in steering angels cause problems ?
    Any advice appreciated ....

    I’m probably going to sell my new z900 and get a new 690 or 701 (690 looks more sexy though) but are these bikes stable on the highway going 90mph? Like does it shake or wobble?

    • @ColumbiaBros
      @ColumbiaBros  2 роки тому +1

      So I would say they can go over 100 no problem I wouldn’t do it for like an hour it’s not really comfortable with the seating position and deff not going to feel as planted as your z900. But it all depends on your riding style. If your into more agile city riding then deff go for the supermotos. But if most of your riding is high speed pulls and highway I would say stay with the z900 or maybe get a Hypermotard from Ducati. They deff feel more planted and can handle the higher speeds no problem. It’s all preference really.

    I’m really considering getting one for work commute. Does anyone here take theirs on highway for 20 min durations? 65-70mph. Does it completely work you over the whole time? Or is it manageable?

    • @ColumbiaBros
      @ColumbiaBros  2 роки тому +3

      The bike itself can handle the speed no problem at all. I would say the only thing that would get a tad annoying is the wind due to the seating position. If that’s not an issue for you then it should be fine.
