Thanks for the content. Just bougjt an xop and 4 longer sticks and I have been trying to figure out how I want to set it up to haul with a pack. I seriously considered hauling it in the night before because the first test run I made I was like holy shit it's tuff gettin' through some deer corridors with this damn thing on my back catchin' jaggers and brush here in PA. Was sweatin' my ass off in August heat.

I like the way you attached the sticks to the stand. I have lone wolf sticks and an xop vanish. I think I will try your set up. Thanks guys.

So this past season I hunted from a saddle and did the one stick method. Love the one sticking and repelling down was safe and fun. But I couldn't get comfortable with the weak side shot on the small saddle platform plus I found myself moving around too much in the saddle it cost me a deer. Actually cost me two deer, one busted me, I was moving before I saw him on the one I couldn't get around to get a weak side shot in. So because of that I just just ordered a xop vanish. So I'm going to try hybrid with one stick three step aider doing the one stick method and rappelling but then hunting out of the vanish. Kind of the best of both worlds somewhat. Thanks for your videos I just subscribed. I also have a UA-cam channel called On Target Adventures. You might want to check it out.

Thanks, I am going to try the close-to-the-seat post and bungees this year for my sticks. Last year I did them all stacked on the beam like on the XOP site and it always felt like I was tipping backward.

I ran the stack for a year and couldn't do it!
hopefully this works better for ya!

This is the exact same setup I have (well its the original vanish). I am considering a beast stand or lwcg .75 to lighten the load a bit. Sucks because I like the hanging brackets that I can go and put up ahead of time and makes hanging the stand super easy...

Its a 5lb weight savings on the lwcg .75 and if I can find those tethrd one sticks, they only weigh a lb each. That would save another 6lbs vs my xop sticks. 11lb weight savings sound pretty damn good for those deeper public land trecks.

heck ya man. thanks for the comment. in September were dropping an updated gear video. so ill go into more detail on our setups for 2022. I do know the newer stands are a bit lighter than the OG XOPs. So you can still shave a few pounds and use the hanging brackets.

Great, helpful video. What kind of backpack was used in the first setup? (Time: 4:30 in video). Keep up the great work.

I just use one bungee and put a hook in the center makes a triangle over my sticks works good for me

How do y’all stay awake in a tree stand? I’ve been to Illinois and hunted tree stand a couple times but, I don’t here in AZ. I’m deathly afraid of heights and I was still nodding off because I’m not used to sitting while hunting for extended periods of time. Thanks!

Anticipation!!!!! There is a lot of thought that goes behind every sit and every stand location. So when were in there we are expecting to succeed. Other wise why hunt there at all! But were not sitting much longer than 4 hours max most days way less and the occasional nap happens! lol

I recommend buying a tree saddle to go with your hang on stand. If you fall, the saddle will cradle you. I've been there nodding off. It can be scary.

Not sure the length but they have holes in them so you can adjust them.
