Zachary Perez To be fair, Sam did that with everyone. But the hosts and Danny really got under Steve’s skin. Danny was Anthony’s friend and he really felt like he was a host, so he took way more liberties than he should have, primarily at Steve’s expense.
The reason Danny and Travis didn’t think about getting physical altercation with another man is because they know they’d get their asses kicked. They were both acting like they were taking the moral high ground as to not resort to violence. Patrice seemed to be the only one that could comprehend that. Steve understood it, but he couldn’t articulate it.
brian d Jokes and analogies - you mean contributing to the show, nothing he could do will keep you guys happy because you'll never understand the dynamic of the show or the purpose of his role
+dylanconti.com His true purpose was to stop the flow of the show and kill bits. So many times Jimmy and Anthony were on a roll only to have it killed by Opie interjecting something idiotic, not funny and nothing to do with what was being discussed. Listen to when comedians were on, they'd have a good riff going, back and forth with them and Anthony and Jimmy and each other and then Opie tosses in a line and you can literally hear them all just stop, take a breath and try to move past what he just said.
i guarantee when Jimmy leaves in October Opie wont have what he is used to. Most of the comics are friends of Jimmys and will follow him to Ants show. Opie only became something because of Ant and will be nothing without them. You watch what Ant did in one year. He grew a multi show format. In one year !! Opie bitches about getting stuff for 20 years and blames everyone else. I am so looking forward to Ant and Jimmy together.

Otto and Bobby were both in that day listening to him do Gamefly and Wendy's commercials. If not then I ask you upload any of Otto's appearances you have. You're doing God's work son keep it up.
There's a big difference between criticism or joking around with someone and being disrespectful or intentionally fucking with someone while being under the assumption that nothing is going to happen to you. Also, a guy talking shit to you then threatening litigation when it might get physical is the most infuriating thing as a man. However, we are talking about Danny so he doesn't understand how men think.
At 40:20 patrice talks about how danny says he'll sue steve, and steve wants to just throw him through a wall but cant because of the legal threat, and he eventually goes, "thats so fucking annoying!!! YAAAAAGH!!! and after that an immediate, perfectly timed recording of danny is played saying smarmily "razzle dazzle!" i promptly lost my shit and replayed that at least 7 times
So Opie bitches about not having time to care about people's feelings to make good radio, and then when he gets the golden on-air argument that he really wanted, he covers it up with sound clips. Opie and Jim didn't flop because of the awkwardness of the split, it flopped because Ant made legendary comedians laugh their asses off, and Opie got his best material from instant feedback.

Opie "I don't care about who's feelings get hurt, I just care about having a good show" 😌 lol
Unless it was Opie's precious, widdle fee-fees. Then the whole studio went into meat locker mode.
Danny and Travis as little girls
its hard to believe why Steve C did himself in....ya know with the boys doing a 10 min bit on him being a gigantic shark that eats tons of hamburgers & the laugh tracks & cutting Steve open on the dock to find cheeseburgers, erock taking photos of his food & making fun of him....I mean really hard to believe considering all the sympathy he's getting here.
Weeding out the weak
I love when Patrice is like "here's the funny part" utterly dismissing Opie
Its stunning that over 20 years, Opie never once carried the laughs. 1 off guests, carried laughs.
The platoon bit was the best.
It sounded like Opie was talking about himself when talking about Steve, sweet irony.
I hope Danny was wearing that burger bun hat that day 😆
Patrice was absolutely perfect here. Danny acts like a chic
Opie pretty much drives the guy to suicide and when he does it, he acts like the guys best friend and talks about going to the guys funeral
jacobcook7 He didn't do that at all. Steve was unstable, as evidenced in this clip. He's still in a rage over some shit his father said to him 25 years ago. He seems to have an issue with processing his emotions.
@@jennpenn5 Yes, but Opie clearly made Steve's situation worse. I've been listening to all the Steve C segments on UA-cam and one thing that becomes apparent is how just fucking cruel Opie was to him. The word 'bully' gets thrown around a lot these days but I honestly would call it that.
E101ification really it was Opie? Not Sam constantly antagonizing him?
Zachary Perez To be fair, Sam did that with everyone. But the hosts and Danny really got under Steve’s skin. Danny was Anthony’s friend and he really felt like he was a host, so he took way more liberties than he should have, primarily at Steve’s expense.
Parker Rognrud yea Danny is a piece of shit too lol
The reason Danny and Travis didn’t think about getting physical altercation with another man is because they know they’d get their asses kicked. They were both acting like they were taking the moral high ground as to not resort to violence. Patrice seemed to be the only one that could comprehend that. Steve understood it, but he couldn’t articulate it.
Exactly, b*tches
Rip Steve c
I don't want to keep harping on opie, but his hypocrisy and complete lack of self awareness is infuriating
Christ on a stick, Opie just kept killing the flow with his stupid jokes and stupid analogies. Stick to your well timed soundboard jabs
You mean the 4 he always plays over and over and over again. Ugh, the guy has dozens to use but still sticks with the same old boring ones
his bombs amuse me
brian d Jokes and analogies - you mean contributing to the show, nothing he could do will keep you guys happy because you'll never understand the dynamic of the show or the purpose of his role
26:47 "ill get you a rock hammer" hahahaha
I was waiting for a Kurt’s reference like, “and next to the burger that had missing bites. There were a… pile of fries. Little fries. And at the sight of that. I started to cry.. sob.. at the horror I saw”
Hey man, first of all thanks for all these uploads. They're fucking great. I was wondering if you had the clip of the guys listening to Bob Kelly's commercial demo reel? Otto and Bobby were both in that day listening to him do Gamefly and Wendy's commercials. If not then I ask you upload any of Otto's appearances you have. You're doing God's work son keep it up.
All time great O & A clip
9:29 Anthony is the fastest gun in the business. Half a second to come out with a zinger.
RIP Steve C. You were a good egg, miss you.
Too bad Opie killed him
When the machine breaks down, we break down!!!!
The End song is a perfect background for this
"Ant Lets have Same talk for the group" aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!
