ABOUT THE SONG

This is my second commissioned composition for a video game, and I am very happy that I was able to write another song for the Dragon Nest world of Lagendia! Cherry Credits approached me earlier this year to write a song for the city of Saint Haven, and they asked that I make it from the point of view of the Elves - specifically Grand Archer Ithilien - and tell the story of the Black Dragon Raid 50 years prior to the current storyline. Here is the result!
I finished it very early this year, and it's been waiting in the wings to release. Due to the amount of work I had at the time, coupled with close due dates, this is one of the projects that contributed to my voice issues this Summer! This is the last thing I recorded before having to rest my voice these last few months.
I visited the Cherry Credits forum and read that many players feel this song does not suit Saint Haven very well ^w^; I think a more grand symphonic work was expected by many. I wanted to apologize to any players that were disappointed by the new BGM ^w^; A million thanks though to the players that have reached out specifically to tell me how much they love the new Saint Haven song! :)

This video isn't quite as 'animated' as my last one - I wanted to create a more storybook feel. I enjoyed doing some Dragon Nest fan art in the process, he he! I had to dig up some references for archer poses, as I had no idea quite how to draw that correctly. Thankfully deviantart has some great photography sources. I have listed them below and in the video's credits.
Ending theme! For those who have been following me really closely, you might know I'm finishing up a CD of instrumental Celtic/Medieval pieces. I couldn't sing for those months, I had to have some sort of recording project to work on, and I think it's turning out well! I used a tiny clip of one at the end of the video xD I'm working on the last tracks for that album now, and will probably have some sort of preview out soon :) Let me know if this is something you're interested in!

2022 already and still by far the most nostalgic song i have heard in DN aside from the theme song in Calderock Village. Memories on my younger days will never be forgotten. I am a working man with a family now and this game was a part of my life back then.

Song of the Goddess: Eternal Path (Calderock BGM) is still, hands down, the best for me, among all other BGMs in any other game, but this is a pretty close second. I also don't get why most players think it doesn't suit Saint Haven; I for one think the majestic yet somewhat melancholic feel to the song is appropriate, but that's just me. On a side note, I miss the glory days of DN SEA, particularly the 40-60 cap, where it's not very P2W-ish and PvP was almost, if not as popular as PvE. Ah well. Argenta still hot tho LOL

How I miss the Dragon Nest so much 😢 This nostalgic BGMs everytime you enter towns, hanging on every map with friends, having a date with another player under the tree, airships or castles, raids, dungeons, the thrill of surprises and especially the friendships Ive made through the years of playing. In my opinion this song is not just for Saint Haven.. with the beautiful and moving composition and storytelling it deserves to be like a national anthem for the whole Lagendia.. not just he city; this song is too meaningful for a single city. I know nothing about the game and I have no idea how I ended up here. But this song is so full of something beautiful... I like it, makes me happy and sad at the same time, feeling alive and part of the world around me.
2021 and I can still hear and feel the laughter, greetings, footsteps, and the peaceful energy of the game. I've never felt so immersed in a video game. It really feels like I was once an old warrior who went on an adventure and fought beasts and dragons.

It's like the NPC Grand Master Archer Ithilen is the one who really sings this song through out the Saint Haven to tell the story about the Black Dragon Raid 50 years ago together with the 7 Heroes.

This song is so elven. It’s rallying troops for battle, yet its an entire seven minutes long. Then at the end it says “Pick up your bows, there’s no time for words”, as if they haven’t already been singing for ages. I guess if your lifespan is ten times as long (according to D&D), seven minutes would seem like only forty-two seconds.
Listening to this again slapped me with memories. The fun parties, the intense pvp, the exhausting farming and grinding, the costumes, the happiness of the game. Thank you for this song. It will always have a special place in my heart. May our hearts beat as one again in the future.

This song always brings to my mind, J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Silmarillion" - the "Dagor Dagorath" or the last battle in the First Age of Middle Earth. This was when Melkor (Morgoth his other name) and his servants including Sauron (who is figured in the 3rd Age with Bilbo and Frodo in the time of the rings), fought to control middle earth. Melkor unleashed the dragons including the greatest of them, Ancalagon, The Black. I know this is not about that and it doesn't fit exactly but it still brings a lump to my throat. If they ever made a movie of Silmarillion, this is the type of song that would definitely work.

Instance based RPG. Think MMO Action RPG that has all of the real gameplay in instances/dungeons. Dunno what Dragon's Nest is like now, but that's how it was when I played it. I didn't play it long, but I played it more than I did Vindictus, a game of the same genre. Granted that was partially due to the hide and seek style pvp mode you could play on DN where your gear (and class for that matter) didn't matter.
