Dude, I love that you pour so much effort into each of your videos. I come to your vids time and time again just to hear you talk about the possible lore of Dragon Age Inquisition. You keep my love for this game alive!
I used the DAI cinematic tools fly cam in the crossroads during the convo with Morrigan and Merrill's creepy mirror was there. Though, obviously dark, corrupted and shattered.
Nice video and reveals as always, 'The Kingdom'. I knew about Merrill's and the one in the fly-cam view in the Crossroads, but the other same-patterned mirrors/frames were news to me. Interesting!
And now Solas has control over the eluvians right? I think that's what he says at the end of Trespasser. I like the thought of the crossroads were fabricated by .. ancient gods, elves and meant to travel quickly trough different realms, or cities. The Ancient elves of Arlathan did not use roads to travel, but instead eluvians. Dalish invoke, or praise to Ghilan'nain to travel quickly. Legend refer to her as mother of the halla. I believe that this translation has been broken along the years. Since there were no roads, but rather eluvians then Ghilan'nain maybe the Gatekeeper of the crossroads. Well, Ghilan'nain, or something else has / had a skeleton key to the crossroads. Maybe Solas has it now?
Interesting! Good observation about Ghilan'nain! Though she definitely had something to do with halla, but her being a kind of master of the Crossroads is very interesting. She's going to get her own episode at some point XD I don't think Solas has a key -he said he had to personally override the magic. If he has Mythal's power, that completely makes sense.
I have a theory abaut the Crossroads. What if the Ancient elves were created a lot of different pocket dimensions, two of them is the Crossroads and the Library but originally there was more worlds like these. What if the Fade itself is just a bigger pocket dimension created by Solas by sucking away the energy of the other dimensions the Ancient elves created. Maybe thets why a lot of the Mirrors in the Crossroads aren't working, maybe because the other worlds they were conected doesn't exist anymore.
ua-cam.com/video/4Jat5ckbc78/v-deo.html Morrigan drinks from the well in this UA-cam video and after she talks at the War Table she explains about the eluvians "It was always assumed their use was lost after the Tevinter conquest of Arlathan. But the ancient elves had closed all paths to the Crossroads long before. They warred with themselves, and the eluvians were sealed to prevent an enemy from using them to attack.
I know abaut the Mirrors thet let you travel across Thedas. I talked abaut the Mirrors thet let you travel to different worlds like: The Crossroads, The Fade and The library. My theory is the Fade itself is a world created by Solas by sacrificing other created worlds.
I don't think the eluvian in the crossroads is linked to Merrill's, and here's why: When Tamlin touches the mirror he can see a black city, which means the eluvian on the other side is contained near a city and the area should be corrupted since Tamlin and Mahariel become tainted. As Merrill keeps a piece of that same mirror, it stands to reason that if she ever did get it to work then her mirror would connect to the same black city Tamlin saw. So for this theory, I feel it's just a reused asset/easter egg thing that Bioware loves to do! Lol
Also, isn't it weird that the demon that helps Merrill with her mirror wants to use it to cross over into our world? I have a feeling that, because Merrills mirror connects to a black city, her mirror is in the fade near the actual Black City. Which would make the demon helping her a very powerful one, as most demons refuse to go near the Black City.
Well, it's a new mirror created from a fragment of that other one. When Duncan destroyed that mirror, it would have disconnected. Because Merrill makes a new mirror, I think the Crossroads is like the default setting for where it connects. That could be the case whether it really is Merrill's or not.
@@TheKingdomEntertainment that's a fair point! So, something like Merrill creates a new mirror from her fragment, and it could default back to the crossroads? That is interesting! I wasn't thinking about it like that lol great video!
You only get that specific dialogue option about the magic crumbling if you’re a Rift Mage.
Ah that explains why my KE mage didn't have that dialogue. Was surprised to see the option on my Rift mage XD
