I work in forensics and it is SO awesome that y’all have finds like this!
Just FYI it’s best to keep firearms in water for the police evidence collection as they will rust quickly if kept out of water and potentially hurt evidence. Love the channel!!!🔫🕵🏻♀️

@@matthewwilliamson1825 That is just stupid. Destroying evidence you didn't even know was evidence isn't a crime. Tampering with evidence is a crime, as it indicates intent. They could find rope used to hang someone and cut it up and burn it and they didn't commit a crime. Tampering with evidence would mean that the magnet divers knew the gun was evidence in the first place which of course they don't know and then set out to deliberately alter or destroy said evidence. Most people accused and convicted of "evidence tampering" are cops anyway. Maybe cops threw it in the river so the person they had railroaded would stay in prison. That would be evidence tampering. No matter what the divers did with the gun, they didn't tamper with evidence and leaving it in the water presents its own hazards as the river could sweep it away, someone else could find it in the meanwhile and keep it for themselves, or the police might very well never get around to going out and getting it anyway. Best thing to do is take it, as it is the holy grail of magnet fishing.

Once suggestion, when you find a firearm under water or anywhere else practice gun safety. Don’t point the muzzle at each other or yourself( hands). Just because it’s under water doesn’t mean it can’t fire, or is unloaded. Enjoyed your video.

Man, I've been watching you for a few years now, and I loved how you're videos had a calm vide to them. just listening to you swim around and find stuff. But this style you've been making recently with the upbeat music in the back ground really kills that vibe. I'd love it if you returned to the peaceful style, but I doubt that will happen. Something must've changed for you to decide to change up what you had been doing for so long. I'll be keeping tabs hoping this is just a temporary thing but I wish you the best of luck.

Haven't watched one of Jake's videos in a while, was excited to see this new adventure. The almost constant music is a bit much, in my opinion. I really enjoy just listening to the raw audio with the occasional mellow background music. I found it always really relaxing. But this more rock like (?) audio makes me uncomfortably anxious😖😥

I don't know if u guys have ever been to Michigan and scuba divied. If not you really should. If you do is it possible for you to scuba dive at Burt Lake, Petts Lake, or Lake Ponemah in Michigan. I luv your videos. Also it is amazing how u try and return all the stuff back to the owners. You have an amazing heart and we need more people like u in this world! I'm not a fan of how these videos have been lately. I really enjoyed the older videos where it was just the sound of water, your reactions, and your friends. The videos that don't have the music are relaxing and it felt like I was going on a true underwater adventure/treasure hunt. The new background music and editing make it seem like a cable television show on Discovery, which in my opinion you should try to steer away from. I don't come to your channel to watch a Discovery show.

Jake, can you and your friends please take a gun safety course, I've seen you guys muzzle each other way too often. That gun was almost certainly loaded and Trystan put his finger in the muzzle.
Water flooded the chamber most definitely it could not fire unless the chamber is drained

I used to have a house in Dover bay, Idaho which is on the river of lake ponderay, in winter the water level would go down so the docks wouldn’t get wrecked and I found shotgun shells and all sorts of stuff, you should go check it out sometime because there was really cool debris that would be very interesting

Thank you for your work. It's incroyable what you can fin under the water. You should still wear gloves when you find guns..for not putting your empreinte on it..
love that you guys are doing good things, and cleaning rivers and ponds. But even though that gun was found underwater, and probable will never shoot again. The little amount of gun safety you all showed, all three of you flagged each other with that possibly still loaded, firearm. You all need a basic safety refresher.
