So... Hembo "un-priviatized" his videos overnight December 15/16. Should I still restore the "classic" RTAAs?
yes
@@AverageDoggo what he said an did was wrong and petty but lets be nice we all have to make a living and the work he did before it went sour was still something that made the community better before he went downhill.
Do what you want, friend.
Wtf haopened??
@@juancano3793 I know that this comment is 5 months old and you've probably found the answer by now, but in case anyone else is looking for it.
Hembo Hero had a meltdown. Basically, Ky mentioned in a video that when she was in college she occasionally stole candy (I think she said Reese's, but I'm not sure) from the school store or cafeteria. Pretty normal thing, who hasn't lifted some candy from a store once or twice. Any way, Hembo went on a tirade about how he couldn't get behind that, and basically demanded that she apologize and essentially held his videos hostage until she released a public statement. Everyone dunked on him for a while, and rightly pointed out that Gus, Burnie, Geoff, Jack, and Michael have all told much worse stories about the kind of things they used to do (Michael stealing cable and Gus and Geoff talking about stealing "crazy" things from house parties comes to mind) even RT staff called him out in a couple podcasts and streams, so Hembo went offline, changed his youtube name (he's just "Hero" now) and privated all of his videos. He's since unprivated his videos.
You can measure Burnie's anger based on how much he sounds like Church
It's a gradual increase before a shitstorm of vulgarity and annoyance. Burnie Burns, what a man.
I loved the old podcasts. We need to bring this guy back
@@dragonsvideos6737bad news
@@dragonsvideos6737he has morning podcast
Every now and then, I look for your comment because I love it.
Gus mentioned the airport issue with the same intention one throws gasoline at a fire.
And then sits back to enjoy the bonfire XD. That grin on his face
I got to that part and yes. Your analogy is perfect
I love how Blaine was completely silent throughout that whole thing.
it’s like matt during gus and burnie’s iphone argument
Just look at his face in 4:45
The fact that Gavin never caused him to have a stroke, is amazing 😂
I think Burnie moved out of the country to observe other cities and airports for a prolonged period of time JUST to make the point that Austin has shitty construction lol
When Burnie gets angry, I can imagine Church in his head asking, "Would you like me to take it from here?" and Burnie saying, "Go ahead... knock yourself out."
So glad to this back up. I revisit this on a monthly basis.
I'm working on getting all of the "classic" ones back up, but it's gonna take some time.
This is an ICONIC moment in the podcast. I remember hearing this when it aired and waiting months for the RTAA to come out. Then when my best friend and I went to RTX that year, dozens of people tweeted airport construction photos at Burnie to the point where he mentioned it in the live panel. Good old days.
I swear this has the same vibes as church yelling at caboose xD
Gus slowly creeping in with a straight jacket is perfect
burnie yelling with his face against the glass in the padded room at 5:01 is pure gold XD
As someone who drives the 35 in Texas for work (truck driver), it's still under construction
I had to drive to San Antonio recently for a groomsman suit fitting, and I-35 was a mess, even on a Sunday.
@@SteveTAGamer yea I mean, I deal with a lot of construction zones, but that's one of the few that's like consistent
@@alexisumbreon4722 how about now?
@@bhume7535 As a local, more in the SA area, it's a fucking mess. Anyone who lives in Texas on the I-35 stretch between SA and Dallas will tell you they will do ANYTHING to avoid having to get on 35 if at all possible.
I used to think Burnie was insane until in mid-October the city started repairs on my one lane street that I live on , proposed to be done by Halloween, it's three days before Christmas and it's still going. Constantly having to encounter construction will drive you insane, regardless of the bias of nearness..
Dude Bernie literally became Church 😂
Burnie and Gavin arguing creates an infinite feedback loop of Burnie's terrible logic and Gavin's terrible explanations.
To be fair in this example, Gavin wasn't making a terrible explanation; the point he's making was easy to understand and even Gus was on board with it.
The problem was that Burnie and Gavin/Gus were arguing two separate arguments, so they were bound to continue cycling in a loop.
I never watched these, just the RTAAs. This is trippy
Thanks for watching! Some folks in the community like them because they give context to the RTAA.
I’ve lived in Portland for 18-19 years and I have never seen traffic so crazy than what I35 is…. Doesn’t matter the type of day it is completely insane!! I’m with Burnie on this one
Just saying...I don't think Burnie's ever had to deal with the constant construction on I4 in Florida.
Probably not, but I’ve heard things about I-4 and experienced Miami traffic firsthand. 😱
I remember in tallahassee it took them 8 years to double lane a 2 mile section of road
I know exactly where that is. I haven't been to Florida in years but I guarantee it's still under construction
It took 6 years, but I finally agree with Burnie.
He was arguing that, despite ALL the airports Burnie has traveled too, none of them have AS MUCH construction as the Austin airport. And Gavin and Gus interpreted it as Burnie saying he ONLY sees construction at the Austin airport
Not to mention how in the fuck does it take the better part of a year to fix a single door?
And the "well construction in general is never gonna be done" when is it gonna be done for the *SAME* road for over 20 years redundantly working on it and changing nothing!
@@UltimaKeyMasterto be fair to the door, storefront doors like that can be on backorder 4-6 months during peak construction season (summer). Lead times have gotten crazy
FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT! Kiss Kiss Kiss
I shout that line far too much at hockey games when the players drop gloves.
Just one day it’s gonna work.
I used to say that so many times lol 🤣
@@BryonYoungblood The world would be a better place if we could settle all our fights by making out....
@SteveTAGamer I use a gif of it on Discord sometimes
R.I.P. Rooster Teeth.
😭
If you scroll down so you can't see the video, you can pretend it's Church that's screaming at Gavin
i love how angry Burnie would get XD
Gavin got a good bit heated too but nowhere was he *ANYTHING* like Burnie was!
Rest in peace
Miss this era of the podcast so much
I wish the group never broke up.
I fucking miss Burnie 😢😂
It's actually really easy to understand Bernie's argument. You can use percentages to understand it better. He's saying he sees it under construction 100% of the time but other areas while still under construction a lot maybe say 50% or 75% are still not quite reaching the 100% that hes seeing at the areas hes talking about.
Yeah, but it's also funny because he misunderstood what Gavin was driving at when he was mentioning why Burnie would see more construction at Austin than anywhere else, even if Burnie is also saying how he wants to see it somewhere else too.
@@BryonYoungbloodhe didn't misunderstand, he was just keeping the topic on point instead of going off topic like gavin was doing due to not understanding
@@Oly1y Well, Gavin DID keep it sort of on topic, he's just pointing out that it makes sense Burnie's gonna see more in Austin than he would anywhere else, even if Burnie is complaining about the fact he DOESN'T see it in other places.
where do you run into construction constantly at an airport? denver. half of the massive entrance terminal is boxed off. it’s been like that i think five years. and the best part? the airport fired the construction company for doing a shitty job like 2 years ago or whatever AND HAVENT HIRED ANOTHER ONE YET
That shows how shitty America construction company's are at doing there job.
@@StarwarsFannick Canada too, there was a fucking road that connected several parts of downtown that was just boxed off for literal years, they finally fucking fixed it 3-4 years ago but fuck me it was annoying seeing it
@@TheMasterUnity oh you have no idea how bad Canada is at construction, but edmonton alberta stands possibly at the second place spot just behind Ontario.
@@StarwarsFannick Oh i do have an idea, i live in Canada and i stg they must wipe their ass with tax dollars because they don't fix shit
This was the podcast we all misssed
One of my favorite moments from the RTP. I wasn't ready to completely lose it just now, I forgot what I was getting into.
This was the goat podcast crew add Geoff in somewhere but burnie/gus/gav has always been comedy gold.
I appreciate these. Context is important. Burnie is ranting to people he respects. Gavin not's a dumb guy.
Burnie is 100% right here lol
gavin and burnie are arguing two separate points
@@scj6693 Exactly but in similar manners since Burnie is complaining about how Austin has a lot of construction and he doesn’t see it as much anywhere else, while Gavin is saying it makes sense he’d see it more in Austin given he lives there.
this is my favorite video just because of how little sense Burnie makes
I get what he means BUT he also is missing what Gavin is trying to point out to him about how it makes sense he’s gonna see more construction in Austin than he is gonna see anywhere else. I get Burnie is saying he wishes he’d see more construction going on in other cities he’s gone to, but he’s missing what Gavin is trying to explain to him due to his frustration 🤣 And all Gus and Blaine can do is just laugh their asses off at this “argument”!
Let's not forget the noise Burnie makes near the end
@@ayazi.akechi Yeah! Just sputtering and babbling before he calls Gavin an idiot XD
Bernie is making sense. It's just they all suck at communication. He leaves and returns at Austin, but he also arrives and leaves at other airports.
50% of his airport arrivals and departures are at Austin.
Gavin and the others are just being Dicks about it.
Burnie is the only one that was making any sense
Yes you do a loop and wind up back Austin.
Blaine is just enjoying this rofl!
Still one of the best moments.
I’ve lived in Tucson for 4 years now, can’t remember a time Broadway wasn’t under construction
I was wondering what happened to this one i saw it before and then it was gone
Hembo had a meltdown and ended up deleting everything.
@@fullmetal_3961 he melted?
@@oruwigar3143 there's posts on the out of the loop subreddit and also on the main rt sub about what happened
It looks like the videos are back now
Oh man. Burnie would lose his shit if he lived in Florida - the I4 Eyesore (Majesty Building) has been under construction since 2003. From my early teens, all the way up into my mid/late 30's, that building has just sat there. Unfinished.
In Albuquerque, it took about 4-5 months to tear down a McDonald’s and rebuild it
They go all the way to the foundation and rebuild on it, or was the foundation redone too?
@@SteveTAGamer they completely got rid of the building and I think they tore up the foundation too. And within a few months, less than a year, there was a new building!
He says they don’t just close I-10 down to like one lane but I’ve seen otherwise for the last like 5 years in the same stretch 😂
Burnie should never come to Australia. He would kill someone.
Comedy gold lmao
Weirdly enough, I see where both burnie and Gavin are coming from in this argument.
Gavin should document construction in other places on the side
I agree with burnie in a sense, but he needs to come to wisconsin right after winter. I'm a truck driver and it seems like every 25 miles there's construction
Speaking from experience, northern states like Wisconsin, Montana, the Dakotas have two seasons: Winter and Road Construction.
Chicago and Cook County as a whole are both always under construction. It’s ridiculous.
construction and highway maintenance are 2 completely different things
Looked it up yeah Texas has most construction going on right now
I wonder now that Burnie doesn't live in Austin anymore, if he still thinks that the airport is always under construction?
Probably, because it is. Austin is the closest airport to me and it was a MESS picking up and dropping off family at the terminal a couple weeks ago. Plus the city wants to expand the airport by building a second terminal.
I feel this same way about Kansas City
To be fair, Gav has a point, i have no idea why Burnie turned into a smooth brain during this lol, i mean no offense to Burnie hes amazing i love him, but he was kinda in the wrong on this one lol.
Nah Burnie was 100% right. At this point he was basically living in LA for several months out of the year. If Gavin’s premise of “all construction is equal everywhere” was correct, and Burnie spent say 30% of his time in LA, 30% of the construction he’d see would be in LA. The fact that he didn’t see that much construction in LA means that Austin was disproportionately under construction.
No I'm on team Burnie here the fact he uses that airport the most and has never once seen it not under construction means its under construction almost 100% of the time whereas another airport may only be under construction 80% of the time and he was there during that 20%. That doesn't mean there isn't construction in the other airport, it just means it's not under construction 100% of the time the way Austin is. It's MORE damning that he goes to the Austin Airport the most
@@Vashtanerada477 im not gavin so im not going to argue the point.
not saying you dont make a good point, but i did say Burnie was _kinda_ in the wrong.
@@Vashtanerada477 lol you are completely right I cant believe how many people side with Gavin on this they are just as smooth brain as he is i get as infuriated as burnie just listening to Gavin make his nonsensical argument
Was... was Gus on Gavin's side?
Gavin is smarter than every person on the Rooster Teeth Podcast combined
how to spot a young RT fan
BERKA x5
There's a church near my grandmothers that was under construction that started in 06 but stop due to money and it's been like that for years
update: its somewhat 50% of 500% done
What people dont understand is Construction and Highway Maintenance are 2 completely different things. Think of construction as cleaning your room
The road Burnie is taking about though was “supposed” to have its express lane project done in the fall of 2015 (based on the construction signs I drove past daily when I moved to Austin). It was done some time in 2017.
@@SteveTAGamer Of course there are gonna be delays to the project for a variety of reasons, weather, worker strikes, material availability. Construction season is pretty much April to Nov. Most construction jobs have working days where they have a minimum amount of days to work to get the job done and if they go over they get charged but for a highway job they probably loosed the restrictions
I miss Burnie
