Elvis Presley - That's When Your Hearthaches Begin
Вставка
- Опубліковано 1 жов 2024
- Elvis recorded this song on : January 13 ,1957. Between 16:00 - 19:00 O'clock.
At the Radio Recorders, West Hollywood, California.
Elvis had already once recorded it, at the sun records in 1953, but wanted to make it again.
So this is obviously the 1957 version.
It's written by: William J. Raskin, George Brown (Billy Hill) and Fred Fisher.
It's aviable on :
Elvis' Golden Records, Artist Of The Century - Elvis Presley, The King Of Rock N' Roll - The Complete 50's Masters and on ELVIS Original Recordings- which is where this version is from.
(Lyrics)
If you find your sweetheart
in the arms of a friend
That's when your heartaches begin
When dreams of a lifetime
must come to an end
That's when your heartaches begin
Love is a thing
you never can share
If you bring a friend
into your love affair
That's the end of your sweetheart,
that's the end of your friend
That's when your heartaches begin

I just make some little movies, with some clips, and pictures and tunes, because i love elvis and think its fun! :)
Best singer in the World. ....and Handsome as Ever. ..thank you Elvis ..
His recitations on this and on "Are You Lonesome Tonight?" are similar, and both hint strongly at his acting ability. Elvis most certainly was the complete package. Felt terrible when I heard of his death back in '77. Miss him 'til this very moment. He had such an impressive impact on so many lives.
An entertainer like this only happens once. Elvis was a gift and we’ll never see anything like him again at least not in our lifetime.
And I know you are so right.❤
What a great voice at age 22 and he only got better. Greatest singer of all time. He put his heart and soul into all his songs.
Truth
Luigi 7777 yep
He was 16 when he sing this song
@@Nathangorman854 Thank you Nathan for your information. Will always love Elvis, the best of the best.
@@Nathangorman854 The oldest version is from 1953, so he was 18. Here he was 22. It is another recording
So here begins the plagiarism of Creep :0
From Elvis to Lana del Rey :0
Honestly I don’t hear it I’ve listened to this song a lot still don’t hear it can you time stamp where he would say but ima creep
It has been a real youtube detective’s journey eh.
@@Alselongatedcoins It's the same chord progression as in 0:15 - 0:25
@EZ Z What actually happened Is Elvis's "full-spectrum singing" allowed for musical freedom. Scotty then discovered or invented the power chord, i,e. blueprint for rock, heavy metal, and punk guitar.
Elvis pumped out these opera to guttural scream vocals all in one song which signified to his band, who were well seasoned knowledgeable musicians, that they could play whatever they felt.
Don't misunderstand me, the sound of Scotty Moore's guitar was ALL the power in the atmosphere of the music. But Elvis's singing was ALL of the power in conveying the emotion that mesmerized the people. No two uniquely impactful ingredients have ever come together since.
You know I just love hearing him talk in some of his songs anyone else agree.
Are you lonesome tonight?, Only the strong survive, and Mama liked the roses. These are fabulous songs with him speaking.
Just so undeniably ELVIS a voice not to be confused with anyone
The voice, the strength, just showing it easily, in little bits, we know he can roar like a lion and sing like a hummingbird
My goodness that voice is amazing, he has such a sweet and strong voice with the high pitch like I never heard before What a blessing he is so honorable Amen

The B side of All Shook Up...just brilliant.
Back in '57, I was 15, my mother was 57 and she loved this song by Elvis--miss you MOM!!
Wow he got so much better in only 4 years from the 1953 demo of this to this 1957 version.
Lying on Grandmas living room floor in front of the record player. Fell in love with Elvis at age seven.
I wish Parker had never met Elvis.
no parker, maybe no elvis
No Parker, lots of the real Elvis, Parker ruined the greatest talent ever.
@@0506Tex Agreed. Just about everything after 1961 was uninspiring, and Parker put him in all of those garbage movies.
Parker ruined and bullied Elvis..in my opinion hastening his demise..for pure selfish greed
Parker probly was abit of a bully but he was a pure businessman. Yes he was greedy but he made Elvis the most successful musician ever even to this day. He obviously didnt care about Elvis's health. But Elvis didnt care about hes own health. He could have fired parker which comes with a cost. It goes to show money does the talking.
His beautiful clear concise voice. Never be another talent like it.
After all these years, this voice still gives me goosebumps. And this song leaves a lump in my throat. ♥
The Best Voice Ever, The Most Handsome Man Ever
Insane he only was 22 when he sang this
+Nan Miavsen that's because he had the most versatile voice ever, rock, ballads, blues, country, gospel, soul, even opera and in all the musical styles he sang he had also the hits. It is really amazing, he is an icon and phenomenon
18….. Born 1935, song recorded 1953.
@@johngary5898 No, there are two versions he recorded, this one is the one from 1957, the one from 1953 sounds completely different.
You missed my point. If it were insane that he did that at 22, what would it be if he did it at 18?
God, I'm 76yo now and I still remember every nuance of this recording. Good ol' memories! 💓
Beautiful voice!!! Beautiful man!, thanks for uploading this wonderful song!👍👍🎶🎶💖💖
Beautiful
I think Elvis was at his best and happiest between 1956 and 62 this is a beautiful song and the range is amazing to go high and low with some flexibility
I think he was happy between 1956 and 1958. His mother died in 1958 and he really loved her. I don't think he was ever happy again after her death.
Another timeless Classic Song Of love From Elvis as it is just so Beautiful to even Listen to all of the time
KING ELVIS FOREVER 💖💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💝🤩💝🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩💝🤩💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓!!!!!
His voice is amazing ...how it flows high and low. So young and fresh.
Just One Of the finest songs that Elvis has ever done in 1957 just a real Beautiful song to record during the 1957 Sessions
Wow remarkable talent. It is hard to believe how he has such a golden voice to go with everything else he has
This song still makes me CRY LIKE A BABY. DAMN it hurts
This was the b side of all shook up in the UK and I played the 78 all the time until someone sat on it. I absolutely loved this side so my dad bought me Elvis gold records album with this on it
And I was in heaven!💝😘🎸🎶🎤
I mean, I really love "All Shook Up", but how could THIS some be a B-side of anything!
No one, can say that Elvis Sang A Bad SONG...4 Every Song Elvis Sang Elvis did It the BEST..........
Elvis Presely oh yees and still to this day no one has ever could match him and believe me when i tell you that there will never be either
And in English??
Well said
My beloved King! I miss you! Thank you for sharing with us!
What a champion Elvis you were and still are the winner of all. You brought so much happiness in my life since I was just a little six year old kid love you .
you know hes dead rght
Most beautiful male voice in music. Many great and this one the greatest.
He's only one of few that can sing and sound great with out any music or a sound board to make his voice sound like that.
aaahh!! one of the great B sides--- a real Treasure!!! love ELVIS !!
Possibly the greatest voice in popular music EVER
No the greatest voice ever..
@@mrbluehawai one of the greatest voices
@@Jessica_stevener No the greatest because it is a versatile voice, rock, ballads, country, blues, gospel, soul, even opera, no other singer can do that!
I read that Elvis thought Roy Orbison was best, and I agree, but you listen to him sing and you wonder.
Absolutely!
Nobody can beat him. He's always the King for me. There's only one Elvis Presley in this whole wide world.
Beautiful voice just pure talent and so good looking (envy) ..and those smokey eyes..had the whole wide world at his feet...miss him
love this love him proud to be named after his daughter
I used to play this a long time ago when I literally found my sweetheart in the arms of my best friend. My first love is now dead but I am still friends with my best friend, he found her in the arms of one of his friends. cest la vie!
What goes around comes around.
Wow, what a story! I wonder if he plays this too haha
So the chain continues in the after life as well?
there has never been such a legend as elvis he is perfection in every way
This is such a powerful performance by Elvis. I think even God must have stopped to listen to Elvis sing this song.
How prophetic this song turned out to be!!! Priscilla fucked her husband's "best friend" and Elvis ended up with a broken heart. If you're an Elvis fan, you know the whole story and you know what I'm talking about. Priscilla married Elvis, fucked his best friend, left Elvis, and Elvis died way before his time...a broken heart..Replay this video and listen to the words.
E. P. was something else; without him, our world would be a different place.
Amazing verson of this song from a very young elvis
elvis presley god love you so much
One of the most 'borrowed' melodies in music - Hollies, Radiohead, Lana Del Ray
THE BEST EVER...
Timeless
The harmonies are just over the moon and elvis voice with them
Just a perfect match
Dd
THATS BECAUSE HE WASNT HUMAN HE WAS ANGELIC NO ONE IN HISTORY HAS EVER TOPPED HIM HIS VOICE..HIS LOOKS..HIS BEING WAS FROM HEAVEN REST IN PEACE BEAUTIFUL ONE AND WE THANK GOD FOR U!!!
Still one of my favorite Elvis songs of all time.

You are so lucky Evelyn. Take care.
When and where did you see him?
@@dannybans23 I saw Elvis at Madison Square Garden the evening
Show that the album was recorded
And released for Sale. And again
I saw him at the Nassau Coliseum
On Long Island..I am from New York
So I got the opportunity to see him
When he played New York shows.
Another sad anniversary coming up

A hauntingly beautiful ballad from a 22 year old Elvis. A great record from the King. 👑

It’s pure and simple it’s Elvis Presley no more words needed.
@haley601 one of mine too!
Me hubiera gustado vivir ese tiempo y enamorarme de alguien quien me cante como el ^.^ I Love Elvis !!!! And I love USA!!!
Daya Moon Sounds like you love Mexico 🙃 The joke’s on you when you need to watch the opening scene of The Newsroom. What’s this got to do with Elvis?
Ilovethatsong
Great song 👍👌❤️
hi!
Love this thanks for sending!
So beautiful who can relate too this song truthfully it's touching no wonder he's the words most talented singer of all time and his songs still playing stronger than ever x
U'r welcome my friend ;)
love elvis
I've been an Elvis fan since I was 10 and I still never fail to me amazed by the perfect purity, depth and tone quality of his voice. He died forty years too soon. If only we could have kept on hearing the voice that was his and his alone. He's the out-performer of all male singers past and present as far as I'm concerned.
Elvis
aaw thanks for the sweet comment! ;)
Elvis was a creep, i wish i was special
Лана дел Рей, Радиохед , Зе Холии ....

@1:24 is the soulful bridge that Segways into the story, led by his very Kick-Ass voice as only Elvis Presley can do
I'm a creep I'm a weirdo I don't belong here
Yep its melody was used for radiohead hits creep
One of a kind.
Almost as good as the Andy Kaufman version, on the Johnny Cash show
it is very beautiful my friend
Elvis and Orbison the two best ever!
Cradioso aveva solo 22 anni

Thanks! im glad u liked it!! ;))
The tune of this is very similar to "Love Letters In The Sand"
This song by Elvis featured on the very first album I owned. A a schoolboy it was not my thing. Now I think it's wonderful. I've finally got around to making my version: It's here:
ua-cam.com/video/h7iV8RWc800/v-deo.html It's more understated than The King's version. Relax and enjoy! David. 🙂
