About 1 week ago, The L.A. BEAST received a very interesting letter from his landlord in regards to the artwork on the kitchen wall. This artwork was inspired by the L.A. BEAST'S room mate Rob Nelson aka ManVsThings on UA-cam. The letter stated that the Rob and Beast were to tack on $250.00 to next months rent check because modifying the apartment without prior consent from the landlord is in direct violation of the lease. The land lord stated that, "Any future art project should be kept to a canvas or poster board and that all graffiti should stay off the walls.
After reading this letter, The L.A. BEAST got inspired to start a little art project of his own so please sit back, relax and enjoy the show!!!!

FunnyMeNow here is a great recipe for corn tortillas
1. In a medium bowl, mix together masa harina and hot water until thoroughly combined. Turn dough onto a clean surface and knead until pliable and smooth. If dough is too sticky, add more masa harina; if it begins to dry out, sprinkle with water. Cover dough tightly with plastic wrap and allow to stand for 30 minutes.
2. Preheat a cast iron skillet or griddle to medium-high.
3. Divide dough into 15 equal-size balls. Using a tortilla press, a rolling pin, or your hands, press each ball of dough flat between two sheets of plastic wrap.
4. Immediately place tortilla in preheated pan and allow to cook for approximately 30 seconds, or until browned and slightly puffy. Turn tortilla over to brown on second side for approximately 30 seconds more, then transfer to a plate. Repeat process with each ball of dough. Keep tortillas covered with a towel to stay warm and moist until ready to serve.

You and your roomie drew on the wall, maintenance noticed it during working on your place. They reported it and your apartments asked you to pay for repairs and not do it it again.
You then take the money that would have been spent on repairing the wall, and do this with it. THEN you basically say that your landlord is oppressing your art?

the reason why it's a dick move by the landlord is because it takes $20 worth of paint to cover that small of a portion .... when they move out, they could paint it white before they leave, and the landlord wouldn't have known?
The landlord did know, but the contract should have stated that the tennant before moving out of the appartment is responsible for restoring it as it were when he moved in, and if that's not possible then he should pay for having it fixed.
Yeah they cannot make you add any money onto your monthly rent. Contract states the apartment should be in the condition it was in when he moved in, if it isn't the security deposit will be kept for cleaning and maintenance. Any extra it takes to restore the apartment will be sent as a bill at the end of contract and move out date. It was a very minor drawing on the wall, not even 1$ worth of paint would have covered that up, and LA beast probably already planned to paint it himself. So yeah, go do some constructive thinking and learn yourself some common sense, look at a situation from all directions and you will better understand and you can have a more solid opinion for yourself.
