Hi, I generally don't comment on videos, but I just wanted to say Ive got the same vacuum gauge and I was about to give up on it, but your tutorial gave me back some hope ! Will definitely calibrate them now. Question, do your knobs to turn the vacuum on or off have a lot of play too ? mine have some play on it ...
Yes the vacuum adjustment knobs on mine have some play as well. I'm glad to hear that my video gave you some hope. When this gauge set is calibrated it works good for syncing the carburetors. I hope this is helpful. Thanks for watching!
I have this same gauge set. Thank you for your video. Iam syncing carbs on a 84 Honda 700 (magna) The adapter pieces on my carbs thread into carbs. So the narrow part connects to the gauge hose. Got any good tip on how to keep that narrow part and hose, tight? The ring clips don't work well in that application, same with zip ties :(
I press hoses on firmly and they usually stay on the narrow part of the connectors, but if that doesn't work I use safety wire wrapped around the hose and twisted tight or use small hose clamps. I hope this is helpful. Thanks for watching!
The flasher relay is located under the driver's seat on the right hand side near the right hand seat mounting bolt. the relay has an electrical connection and you will need to unplug it and plug in the new relay. It's really easy to replace the flasher relay and it only takes about 5 minutes. If you need more help please email me and I can send you an electrical schematic showing you exactly where it's located. My email address is in the about section on my Channel home page. I hope this is helpful. Thanks for watching!
