    This was such a nice presentation and exlanation. Only one thing is that, the slides are not clearly visible. Is it possible to get this presentation somehow.

    Question: The example at 46:20 , will use M elements to the K:th user, i.e. all antennas in the radio are dedicated to that user. Does this mean it will not simultaneously multiplex to all users?

    • @WirelessFuture
      @WirelessFuture  5 років тому +1

      Tom Karlsson No, all antennas are used for all users. Each antenna transmits a weighted sum of all the signals. The weights are selected to direct eqch signal towards its designated user by beamforming.

      Bascially you transmit to all users at the same time, but the weights which manipulate the information at IQ samples level (they change both amplitude and phase) do the multiplexing.
      Unless users are not spatially separated, then you also need your information that gets spatially multiplexed to contain information for each user or you feed the users who are not separated by location in turns...
      This is easy to understand intuitively, but really tricky to implement in my experience, I guess I need some practice

    Thank you for the informative lecture.
    Can this summer school be held again? and if yes, where can I follow the announcements and updates?

    • @WirelessFuture
      @WirelessFuture  2 роки тому

      Summer schools like this are only held once. It was sponsored by the IEEE Signal Processing Society and EURASIP (5g.ellintech.se). These organizations are sponsoring new summer schools every year, on different timely topics. So you can have a look at their websites to see what they are sponsoring this year or next year. IEEE Communications Society is also sponsoring summer schools on similar topics.

    Hi, This is very impressive and informative presentation of one of my research area. I shall be highly appreciated if there will some practical exposure or support on MUMIMO through Matlab or Simulator from your side.
    Thanks and Regards
    Anand

      Anand Ranjan There is polenta of Matlab code available at github.com/emilbjornson/ In particular, the Repository github.com/emilbjornson/massivemimobook could be of interest to you.

      Yes, unfortunately, the website was taken down 5 years after the event. However, you can still find it using the Wayback Machine: web.archive.org/web/20210613101344/5g.ellintech.se/
