Except for the fact that PTR players have saying the strategy from the beginning to build your important teams for Dream realm and bosses and arena which is almost all A characters, marilee kruger arden damian korin koko odie etc, which is when you aren't about to pull a guaranteed epic, you place the A heros that you DONT want in the selection line because it removes them from the A pool and you pull a lot more purple dupes that you actually need, and then when you get to the 100% epic you swap in the A's the you DO want and you get a 5 dupe pull. It's been shown time and time again that for account progression that these important A characters are much more important, and that while some S heros are important too, its much easier/faster for f2p to low spenders to advance their rankings with building the solid A characters. Obviously when you get lucky and pull an early epic you will get one of the less desirables that you have in their but statistically this happens a lot less than getting multi purp pulls over time. This strategy has been working great for a lot of people in the big discords since like day 3 of global launch when it was shown, so you might not want to mislead people. And you're argument of "you will get them eventually" actually proves my point because since you can you dream realm shards to advance these units as well you will be able to build fully functional teams that will rank you higher which yields more rewards much faster

I totally agree. I am a very low spender and has compared many videos. Listened to them and started building Odie and Marilee. Now my team is Granny (S+), Smokey (S+), Odie (S), Marilee (S) and the 5th place is a flex position depending on the situation. I used to rank 100+ before when I didn't build those 2 DPS and now, I am consistently in top 60 in Dream Realm. I also agree that if you get lucky on pulls on S characters, build them because they scale better. Most importantly, just enjoy the game. You will eventually reach the limit and can't progress further until you pay, so play at your own pace.
hero focus are so cheap and if you are a low spender or f2p you will always have the currency for them as you dont get a lot of units upgraded on daily basis ... but if a unit you will never use like walker i would skip that since its not worth it legend

If you're f2p or low spender keep track of your Dream realm rankings, if you can get to the top 50 it is extremely worthwhile to wishllist A-rank heroes such as Marilee > Korin > Odie if it helps you push for TEMPORAL ESSENCES! This might change with season of strife (No guarantee). If you're not top 100 Dream realm, ignore this! Listen to Pika~ Do not wishlist A ranks you'll cripple yourself later.

I'm not f2p, but I only have Merilee at M+ rn and I rank in top 30 on all dreamlands bosses, because I invested in units that push my overall survivability like Smokey, Koko, Thoran etc, rather than pure dmg, because surviving the whole 90secs is benefiting me way more than 1 insane dps that dies 50 secs in. When people talk about how important A units are to dmg they assume surviving the whole fight...but once you push Hell difficulty at maybe resonance 150, surviving is what's gonna push you into higher ranks as non whales, not having Odie at M+. Having the meta dps only makes the difference when you don't have to care about surviving anymore. So overall great advice👍🏻
Odie is the best option and the safest one tbh ... he is great in pve pvp and bossing while marilee she shines on bosses but vala does the same and below 50% vala does x5 times her damage while odie is stable everywhere

Its his own strategies and opinion As for me i put 1 A level (odie) the rest will be S hero. After getting that A level to sup. Change to another A level of you own priority. Its all about strategies Wether they want to push early at some content as ftp/low spender or they want to build their S level hero they want to . Its their choice

true fact is marilee and odie definitely is a big boost in world boss and dream realm, but this 2 cant help u in other content, and the problem is putting A level in "epic recruitment"" wishlist is a complete gamble, because if you cant draw this 2 hero from "epic recruitment" , the other 6 are really low value compare to S level, this method will either destroy your account or speed up your account compare to other f2p, i think there is no point to discuss wat hero is suitable to stage 1125, because its a PVE, when u up your level, you can pass the stage easily, and if you watch clearly the reward between stage 1125 compare 1025, 925, the reward are not so huge. the only effective reward in end game is dream realm, world boss, and arena. (F2P just choose which one you want to master). Conclusion, it is a good method, but use it at your OWN RISK!
I dunno about what everyone say but they have the reason and they just sub them with another good unit and i know its harder but still works ... for me i make these guides to make it simple and most efficient thats all ... min maxing is king
bad take on Marilee imo, her Ex is additional 6% at level 4 outside the stats you gain from level 3. that 6% can be the difference you need to hit top 10 from being at top 11
i have her at +10 ... she didn't make the account a lot better she just held me down on my S rank units ... i never said dont build her i said dont over invest and stop ur progress "f2p & low spenders" if you are a big spender you do as you wish ... and always remember new units S rank will be out there and their weapons will be op and replace her 100% and you will sit down and say i wish i didnt invest that much ... its my opinion what you do is up to you and no mistake can kill ur progress unless its removing S ranks and going only for A ranks my legend

S rank characters are practically better than A rank for scalling but for performance some A rank are clearly worth it to dump all the resources on

I used blue essences to raise Odiee's fourth ability to the maximum.
