I think part of the reason the producers disliked Hanbin was the fact that he’s southeast Asian...Koreans can be really racist towards them for some reason, just look at what they said about Lisa from BlackPink😞
I understand why some people don't like Hanbin's vocal. His voice has it's own color and people can immediately distinguish it from others. If not blend properly or his group doesn't have similar voice colour, he will easily overpower everyone. That might be the producers reason of eliminating him at that time. Because while Hanbin's voice is ok, stable and pretty good in flame on, his voice was overpowering the group.
I am relieved that he's debuting now with another group today tbh. Because his voice is just blended together here. Though you can know it right away that it's him when you heard the voice first time 😄. He has also improve so much vocal wise now. I really hope his new group will flourish and hit daebak. I will support you always, Hanbin. Love you!

I feel like they didn't like is vocal because he has an accent. His accent is what gives it that unique tinge. I like it but I'm not Korean so I don't know how that sounds for native Korean speakers.
his accent isn't even that strong. i speak Korean and yes he has one but its almost not there when he sings. he can also speak Korean very well

vietnamese is a language full of bold and strong pronunciation, and hanbin is a native vietnamese speaker. so whenever native vietnamese speakers try to learn other languages such as english or korean, their tone and pronunciation of words sound a bit forced or it sounds like they’re “yelling” since they’re used to strong pronunciation due to their native language that’s why they have an accent. oh and they tend to kind of have a “lisp” sound when speaking other new languages unless ofc you’ve been practicing other languages for a long time and so you would sound clear and smooth in which hanbin hasn’t, but he’s improving and that’s all that matters! please support hanbin throughout his journey :-)

they made a mistake letting him go but his voice is so unique. he'd benefit from additional training, more support, an training, and careful selection of other members in the group or going solo. he's the kind of person that just wasn't destined to flourish in a competition show like this. they have a lot of talented contestants and nwo enhyphen members but hanbin cannot help but stand out. he really is special.

Damn, watching this video, he was such an overlooked applicant. He has a lot of stage presence. Even aside from awesome dancing, his facial charisma is on point. I hope to see more from him. He has so much potential.
Flame On really just showcased how Hanbin has such a unique vocal color to his voice tbh. I didn't watch the show live, just the finale, and his part in "Into the I-Land" really stuck in my mind bc his voice was so clear and distinctive. Since he's got a twitter and a solo performance now I really wonder if Belift is gonna put him in a group or debut him as a soloist. Either way I'll definitely be checking him out
