That Canyon 24F is absolutely stunning, in fact... I'm pretty sure it has the Cinderella wolf coat, which is one of the DLC coats! For some reason the game calls it a black pelt.. They wanted to honor her genetic coat color in that sense, so she’s listed with a black coat. It does make it difficult to identify black or gray wolves, though.

I have a bit of a tip for sleeping: If you wake up earlier than usual, that’s a warning that there is a dangerous competitor nearby, and you should probably run if you’re in stranger wolf territory! Edit: I love these replies so much lol
Maybe Basil should have an older mate, who has better hunt skills and can raise kindly a big litter! She probably could help with the big hunt of the bison, but also be nice and affectionate with the pups :)
I don’t think hunting bison with only two wolves is a good idea, even if they are bigger and stronger, it’s best to wait (if you have a big liter and they survive) till WolfQuest 3 saga comes out

Marigold lll update! Marigold and Sun Spot were able to make it to slough creek! Marigold, wanting to spite the Crevice Lake wolves, took quite abit of their territory up to the lower North. After stealing and finding non-taken territory she finally settled down into her first den (like the first den she was born in, it was a tree trunk den) with Sun Spot, and she had 5 female wolf pups! They are named, Venus Nebula Zinnia StarFruit And MilkyWay! So far my favorite one is Zinnia, just cuz she's got such a pretty gray coat, but I love them all!
Poor baby Baisil! I think that the wolf who chased him was a very old wolf who had the mercery to leave the beaten,hungry and scared youngster alone. Thank god that Baisil met such a kind spirit who left him alone, otherwise he whould have been DOOMED. 🧡🐺
Eeeee Basil isn’t doing well! I hope he is better because I thought he would do better but he is still pretty cute, I got hawk and he is actually amazing I hunted 2 elk in the same hunt! And i got a 4 star mate and had 7 pups!
Seri! **Hunting tip** if you get the cow elk to run, if one of them turns around to fight you mid-flight/stampede, she is very weak and standing her ground.
And, I've also noticed that when a elk is very weakened, they will actually not flee, but instead they will fight you so that way they can maybe live, that is what I've noticed.
Remember that there are plenty elk calves in Amethyst Mountain! They're still quite large, but much easier to take down as a solo wolf. ❤ It wouldn't be a huge meal for Basil, but he might be learning that sometimes he has to go for a safer meal instead of the best meal....
Poor Basil! I had a similar experience, after a unsuccessful elk hunt, I rested down in a empty hex, and when I awoke, a Lamar canyon wolf took over the hex and didn’t take pity on my wolf AT ALL and murdered him :’(
Oh no! I hope Basil’s luck turns around sometime soon! Hawk update! His little pup Blizzard got ATTACKED by a bear! Luckily he showed that bear a lesson and it dropped Blizzard and immediately ran away. Blizzard was also at the brink of death, only on 20% health! Bears really do have a thing for Hawk, I’m starting to think. They’re all growing pretty fast, all up to 7+ pounds. Bunny count: 31
Oop I didn’t play wolf quest yet today- I’ll update you guys on Owlet in a second! Owlet update: Owlet is actually struggling to find another elk herd. He is currently on the journey to find one near Wapiti pack territory cause that’s where they normally are. He found a herd and got a calf and is now on a journey to find a mate! Name suggestions? He had Seven pups! (Just like Demeter- but opposite pattern)
Hawk actually misses owlet you can tell because he is starting to eat a lot more and keeps on feeding his pups so they could be like his brother! I would like to know about owlet
Basil at like 1HP Marigold III was in the exact same situation in my run. I was really afraid she was going to die because she got cornered by a mama elk. Basil at least has that little hint of red left, but Marigold had no health still visible on her health bar 👀
I feel like after this basil would not want to go into another wolves territory for a while, and that he wishes his mother parsley was there because she would show that wolf no mercy and would protect basil and that is what he wants, protection.

My hawk is doing fine, we have had coyotes come to the den. We actually did kill a cougar when it came to our den again oh and also I figured out that our boy Falcon is just like Basil so he is more closer to his uncle then his father. We had an eagle attack and we also had a lost pup at the same time luckily, our girl Robin who seems to be the one that carnivores want to kill the most did survive. It has been quite the adventure and ride for Hawk and his mate, Nightingale.

4:50 sometimes, you don't have a choice and have to keep focus on the elk. some of my wolves have had to, even while stranger pack wolves were trying to get them out. Most were successful at getting the kill and then leaving the area, even if they didn't get to eat any of the food.

10:02 yeah, many times you have to abandon the hunt. I've had to many times on many wolves, some of which were very hungry so didn't heal as well, In which case if they had enough health for it, had to use the bunnies even if that was the last thing they wanted to eat.
Hawk’s flock episode two: First elk hunt. Hawk finally reached the top of the mountain, and sniffed around trying to find the elk. Suddenly a movement from over the other side of the mountain court his eye... it was the herd. Hawk had never tried hunting something that large before, but he knew he had to find a weak member of the herd to target. He ran in, and launched himself towards the first elk he saw. He didn’t know what a weak elk looked like but this one was very strong. He let go and tried another elk close to him, but this elk also felt strong. He was fighting as hard as he could but he could hold his grip. Hawk knew he just had to target one of them and take it down, so he targeted the second elk he just went for and struck it again, all of his teeth and claws working as hard as they could. He tried with all of his strength and after what seemed like eternity the elk fell to the fall motionlessly. I did it, Hawk thought. My first successful hunt. To be continued.
BASIL poor Basil baby He really really is missing his family. He was so I treated in those huntresses but he hasn’t quite learned how to hunt alone yet. He totally just wants to be able to bond and eat with a mate and pups

She was a troublesome pup when she was growing up. I think I'm going to play her next. Well I'm wondering if anyone wants to play one of his puppies with his mate Jewel. I can make documents on how the puppies look and how their personalities are. :3 There is Juniper-male Willa-female Zelda-Male he looks exactly like his father.
