About Dome Keeper:
Mine for resources, choose from powerful upgrade paths and fend off waves of alien attackers in this innovative roguelike mining action game. There's just enough time to mine a little deeper, find a little more and get back to defend before the next wave attacks your dome.

I grew a tree with all 3 resources, the iron takes 1 day, water 2 days, cobalt 3 days to grow. After a while, it broke my cobalt block without me touching it, and it started growing 2 iron and 1 water instead of one of each. Can confirm what chat said!
same here.
it may have been a fluke, but I was going for the all clear achievement and somehow my seed grew on the edge. I am pretty sure I placed it on top of a mineable block, but it rooted and the block beneath it became unbreakable I guess. I cleared all the tiles and never got the achievement.
2 gold? Does this game have gold?

Edited to iron. I called it gold by accident, northernlionian slip
The tree will remove any blocks that it tries to grow into. You need to leave one open space to the left and right of it because it grows a branch on each side when it has 2 or more resources. It is more weird that it didn't break the two blocks below the one that it did break.
Also, I think the reason the tree grew that last cobalt was because it had already started growing it before you broke the connection, so it finished growing it.
if the tree taps into water it produces quicker???? - perhaps
*spoilers for the run*
The only reasonable thing I can come up with as to why the tree broke that tile is that it was straight above the water branch. *Maybe,* as the tree was growing, the tile was removed during wave updates; which is still crazy weird. I've had a tree grow into a block before: I had mined an iron accidentally and, in order to keep a 3 iron vein for it, I had to leave an iron ore within the 3x3 you're supposed to leave for the tree itself, but since it seemed to be growing fine I let it go (for science!). The left branch iron, while completely covered, was actually still reachable through the block, but the whole surrounding area was fully mined out, so I didn't experience gigachad tree over here mining a tile on its own - plus growing resources even after they've been mined out?? This tree was a cool lad, I'm *rooting* for that little son of a *birch.* Every other tree around the block is *green* with envy. (Everything else was addressed in the video and I agree with the theories they came up with).
Edit: little mishap with the asterisks
That's a fine comment there
@@comteniark9548 Honestly, kinda needed that today. Thank you for the validation, random stranger! Have a nice day lol.
You should do a self challenge of no health bar no enemy time bar
Thank you Skoottie for keeping the dome
Been binge watching this game so bad lately. Love your videos!
The tree is so mysterious! I've been trying to understand it myself but the game is so new that there hasn't been much research or documentation into how it works
This Strange Episode of Domekeeper was indeed Educational in Relation to the Mineral Tree. Very Interesting behavior
It looks like the tree, will either extend roots or produce resources.
And that producing roots cause a single hit to a block
Thanks for making these videos. Really enjoying the game play.
Probe Teleporter is an insane combo, I hope you give it a proper go
Roots can definitely grow into unminable, i had a lift run that wound up having an unminable patch like 15 blocks below the dome that I grew a tree on and it rooted and spread.
Seems to me that whenever there's a free spot on the tree it picks a resource it haa roots on and sets a timer. After timer ends it pushes the grown resource in spots in descending priority of left, right and top. Thus both the spots would be contributing to the iron growth here.
Wait until you the Assessor update for this game its pretty cool you use orbs that bounce around to mine
The tree never fails to disappoint 😞
I've planted the tree on the relic, it just produces iron like normal
Why do you bother upgrading pick up range for the teleporter? If you're putting your resources in a pit then all you need is the speed upgrade, not the range one.
You could maybe try the drill every 4 line with one upward drill every 3 block? Since you are able to see ressources from the angle it would be as efficient as every 3 lines (the one you used at the start of this video) while being faster.
You can only see iron on the diagonal, not water or cobalt.
this is a pretty cool game, I hope they add a proper single player game out of it with a story
Feel like the tree is probably only worth it in prestige
I want to watch this but the laser sound bug is killing me.
You still can farm from a tree when the branch is in a wall, just grab the material, it will flinge around a bit but you can crab it out of a wall or similar
i think 3 level is faster to get iron, if play the most difficult mode, it can help you easy to past though the early game
Dig a hole 3-4 at least, 6-8 for best time management, and put tele in the bottom and just fill with resources as you go. Best way to do it till you have expanded grab. I usually do mine 2 wide and put tele in the middle and it'll reach both walls and then the stuff just falls into it's reach and if you have the -10s upgrade you get pretty full pretty fast
still thinking tree is useless
What happens if you plant a tree on a gadget?
nice
the amount of effort you were putting towards the tree and just dropping the ball in the beginning had me yelling at this video its such a simple thing that you made way more complicating than it needed to be still love the videos man
Still no Kobalt Modus 😎
Third one btw i like you videos im new to channel
Second like! 🥳
aren't you being coached by Ludwig?
Coached for what?
Lol tree is so bad
wow first view!
Depending on the damagetime on the huge guys, it seems this mode makes enemys 25 % weaker since it doesnt take take 20 seconds to die with this laser but 14 (due to the small laser too)
