I'm Antonov Colonel Jamal Baluchi from Bahrain 🇧🇭 the only Bahraini who fly on Antonov Aircraft 124 as flight manager & load master I have the license from Ukraine 🇺🇦
As a huge aircraft enthusiast, I think that it would be very worthwhile, highly profitable and totally awesome if the AN 225 could be built with both a front and a rear loading door, along with more lightweight composite skin this time... That would make the AN 225, by far, the greatest aircraft that was every built in the known history of the world!
Just like rebuilding old cars. It’s never cost affective. The engines are an old inefficient design. So the engines would need to be replaced with modern ones for better fuel efficiency. Avionics would need to be upgraded as well. Potentially you may as well start from scratch.
It had an engine retrofit a few years ago with newer more fuel efficient engines. The bigger challenge is the avionics. Many of which were made in Russia or in factories now destroyed. They are also entirely analog and of 1980s soviet design. The fuselage, wings and nose are already complete but new wiring and hydraulics will be a huge challenge to design and certify.
@@Dom1xel That could be true. Now don't get it wrong, there is cargo out there only Myria could fly, which is why finishing the 2nd one is so important.
😂 Tohle blouznění o postavení nového letadla mne fakt baví! Řekl bych, že Ukrajina má a bude mít jiné problémy. Třeba jak splatit dluhy za západní "pomoc"...
Since Ukraine isn't going to win the conflict I wonder what will happen. I also wonder if the US and EU will be part owners since it would be their money used to build the 225
It will never happen. When the AN225 was 1st designed and proposed it was 1976-78. It took 8-9 years to bring this oroject to life to help support the Buran Shuttle program. In terms of cost this plane costed 25! million dollas the. It's not 500 million that's the start it can go as higher as 1 billion dollars. There is not enough cargo that would generate that kind of loss back ever.
Slava Ukraine. From the ashes a mighty Phoenix has arisen.

Ukraine had better start up a go fund me page then because they are going to have many more important ways to spend their money for the forseeable future.....
Who is paying for this does Ukraine have millions it will cost to rebuild this huge plane or are they using funds from America that was intended for weapons .
Why wait? Brave the conflict and work on this ordinary aircraft. Or are you another one of those distant armchair supporters that shouts encouragement from afar?
Glad to see she will fly again! Very impressive aircraft to see in person

Microsoft flight sim also released an antinov 225 model. Profits for the next year go directly to the restoration project
Its time Boeing and Airbus getting together to rebuilt the Antonov AN-225 under the Ukrainian companies..
I don't think they will help with that...
@Airbus-220 they do so they can get funds

@@SpencerHHO How hard is it to just update the avionics and give the 2nd airframe a full glass cockpit?
I think the Myria restoration is probably less about the usefulness of the plane as it is a matter of national pride

Doubt it, your probably seeing a guppy. Hope the actual build is along its it's way.
@@ztcajun Maybe he seen an AN-124
Doubt that Ukraine will exist realistically in 5 years let alone build a plane. But who knows?
Make new name >Antonov An-250 X-Mriya 2023 new plane !!!! For a new for the Ukrainian 🇺🇦😊

nah he's pro-Russia
And is old tech…
This is good news. The pride of Ukraine is going to be restored.

They shouldn’t unless they build it in America not Ukrainian because russia will get it again
Rebuild the largest cargo plane? How about build a next generation giant cargo plane instead due to the An-225 is decades old?
Stfu... We improve, not replace.
Don’t change somthing that’s already good at what it does….
But the An-225 is very old since the Cold War.
