I respect the Nom, and it’s interesting to hear where various Zoo people are going. Seen this and Chronicles of Arcane. Helps it has Zoo artist(s?). Personally, I’m breaking clean with Altered TCG. Great to see everyone pushing forward with their visions with these projects.
I appreciate hearing your take on Nom. Im already p invested in the game, I think some of the parallels to mz are unfair but to be expected. I would like to mention that all the things featured heavily in nomnom like kaijus, dungeon runners etc. are actual passions/interests of the creator. Of course its supposed to appeal to a demographic though. I think the nostalgia criticism is fair, but at the same time, they're certainly not trying to be pokemon with all the unique aspects to the world. I would also like to say that now that the KS is over, the team has been doing nothing besides focusing on the game. The only other thing they're talking about doing in the foreseeable future is figures, but that'll be after the game is established since we didnt hit that stretchgoal. The team has said things like animes and comics and other supplementary things are not their focus at all, and while the long term goal is to build towards that, they don't want to divert resources that are needed elsewhere. If you haven't watched/listed to the interview on their YT channel yet, I would reccomend that as it gives a lotta insight into things you talked about. I also know everyone would love to have you try out the game! There's a TTS mod, they've held 1 small tourney in the discord so far with more to come & people are always looking for games if you'd like to learn! Happy to have found your channel, always appreciate people giving their honest takes on indie tcgs.

So similar gameplay to lord of the rings tcg. Where you have your fellowship trying to move through 9 sites before your opponent and you play minions to stop up your opponents party and kill their ring bearer. Interesting. But their Kickstarter is suspiciously lacking in any gameplay examples, card breakdowns, etc. I’m who knows though
So everyone let you know you nom nom verse was a truly indie thing before it had a kickstarted it was like a team of 3 sell proto packs like only 40 of them sell each for $10 and did it again then 2nd one and bam now they went full Kickstarted and hire all the meta zoo artist so now its not indie its just money hungry and it shows
