It just spoke to me and to my experience with depression as well. It really just starts like a whisper and you keep ignore it, until it's a full on breakdown. Day 6 was there on pivotal moments in my life! they have a very special place in my heart, it's like they validate my feelings. I listened to their songs, most of them are sad, when my father was critically ill. I listened to Days Gone By when my father passed to cherish all the good memories I have with him. Time of Our Lives was released on what I think the peak of my youth. They are indeed a very magical band

Young K (bassist, rapper, vocalist, his range is crazy) is also the main songwriter for all of their songs, all members contribute to writing and producing but the amount of songs this man is credited on is crazy (even writing for other artists like GOT7, Xdinary Heroes and more) "I need somebody" is probably one of my all-time favorites! he has some solo stuff out which I would recommend to check out even in your own time

I’m so happy you decided to include day6 in this series Caitlin!! I always love hearing your commentary and even more when it’s to one of my favorite bands. In the fandom we have a saying that goes “trust and listen to Day6” which i think sums them up pretty well, we can always trust them to release beautifully crafted songs with heartbreaking lyrics and amazing instrumentals. A band with no bad songs!
The first time I heard I Need Somebody, I bawled my eyes out. I locked myself in my room and just cry becoz it feels so raw and they just sang what Im feeling for so long.. i love them even more for that.
Their songs express pain and depression and healing in a way that makes you want to cry while vibing. If I want to be pushed to tears I would always listen to their songs.
I had the privilege of seeing Day6 in concert 6 years ago. Let me tell you, they sound even better live!! One of my favorite concerts to this day hands down! Thank u Caitlin for reacting to them!!

about your final thoughts, i agree that day6 songs can resonates with many people who struggles in their life out there. I personally resonates a lot with 'Zombie' too! Like, how they capture the issue and make it into such a good song, with a touching lyrics and great melodies ??!! They have to know that their band is a live savor to many. First of all, I want to say that I LOVE the my thoughts bar that moves along as you speak. I Need Somebody is one of my favourite songs ever, and Day6 is just one of those bands that never miss. Loved hearing your thought's on these songs and Young K's lyrics.
Fun fact they used to release a fully produced song on thr 6th of every month for an year for their “everday6 project” way back in 2017 it was during my highschool and i used to be so excited for the 6th of every month..o the good old days

I’m so happy you decided to include day6 in this series Caitlin!! I always love hearing your commentary and even more when it’s to one of my favorite bands. In the fandom we have a saying that goes “trust and listen to Day6” which i think sums them up pretty well, we can always trust them to release beautifully crafted songs with heartbreaking lyrics and amazing instrumentals. A band with no bad songs!

The first time I heard I Need Somebody, I bawled my eyes out. I locked myself in my room and just cry becoz it feels so raw and they just sang what Im feeling for so long.. i love them even more for that.
Their songs express pain and depression and healing in a way that makes you want to cry while vibing. If I want to be pushed to tears I would always listen to their songs.

I had the privilege of seeing Day6 in concert 6 years ago. Let me tell you, they sound even better live!! One of my favorite concerts to this day hands down! Thank u Caitlin for reacting to them!!
personally I kinda feel envious of you watching these videos for the first time, because, given the chance I would also want to go back to the moments I first watched all of these MVs and listened to the songs. about your final thoughts, i agree that day6 songs can resonates with many people who struggles in their life out there. I personally resonates a lot with 'Zombie' too! Like, how they capture the issue and make it into such a good song, with a touching lyrics and great melodies ??!! They have to know that their band is a live savor to many.
It's okay not to be open up too much about your mental health issues of you feel like many people still don't respect you enough, Caitlin. Just do things that makes you comfortable enough with this issue ❤️ I just want you to know that your hilarious and honest reaction giving me inspire to be my self and you always made my day even when i'm in my depression phase. I don't know about other countries, but in Brasil, when they sang "I Need Somebody" in that part "why am i alone?" they shouted YOU ARE NOT ALONE and that makes me emotional every time (really wanna be in their next live show so bad)
