Very cool. This is one of my favourites of LK Chen's swords, together with the Magnificent Chu. I have an older one and indeed it lacks the bamboo mekugi. In fact this sword is largely based on an original example in the temple at Nara, Japan. There is some discussion over how Chinese and how Japanese it is (as I understand it).
Great video Phil, the extra time you put into editing and commenting really make all the difference for showcasing and presenting the sword, and what you do!
Impressive skill big Brother. It's great to get a legit review from an experienced practitioner. I'm excited and more eager than ever to receive the one I ordered. Much respect and appreciation sir! 😁 🙏
Really nice cut. And nice quality video with your new camera! Anyway, what grip do you use for the cuts? Is it hamer grip or handshake grip? I can't really recognize it, sir.
The rounded tip Jians, those are mad cutters. Or those rarer Chinese sword types (Serpent tongue or ringed sabre or nandao) Or go all-in historical replicas (the legendary Modao/Zhanmadao for etc.) Or those rarer Chinese weapon types (Sword-breaker/Sword-mace)

Thumbs up. U make it seem so easy to cut the mats!!
Great cutting, and I think the audio and video quality are very good as well!
Incredible cutting Philip !!!
I know it is the man wielding the blade, but the sword seems to cut very well 👍🏻👍🏻

Nice sword, cuts really well.
also appreciated the improved video sound quality too.
Ive always been a sword guy and ive been in the market for one of these. Good video and good stuff. Thank you, sir!
Impressive cuts.
Great review, and wow, very nice cuts.
Wow, that is one sharp blade. Of course it's your technique that powers it, always impressive. The new camera setup is good!
New camera looks great!
Nice, you have mad skills! Thanks for the review.

Great question. I'm now curious as well. If you don't mind tagging me when you get a reply, I'd love to know the answer as well when you find out.
😁
🙏
I'm impressed, by the sword and the video
you make it look so easy
Nice cutting techniques
as a chinese even I think that is a really cool sword.
Wonder how differently it handles in relation to the Palatial/Frontier Tang dao
The next sword that they are sending me is the Palatial Tang Dao. I will compare them once I receive that sword.
Which grade was this sword? I was reviewing the website and they had three different grades. Warrior, elite and commander, with different tempering.
You cut so preciously like a laser is it the swords sharpness or mens wrist
LK Chen really are incapable of dissapointment. Question: What kind/type of a sword would you personally like for LK Chen to produce next?

the blade is actually very similar to a British backsword.
how does a tang compares to a katana?
This is the sword our ancestor used to repel Turk repeating invasion in the 5th-7th century.
