The most shocking thing is the Gopuram(minaret) weighs 80ton and it was placed on the Top by building a ramp which was pulled by hundreds of elephants stretching to few kilometres😮. There are hundreds of temple marvels in India. Trichy, Mahabalipuram, Madurai are some of the places you have to visit for stunning temple architecture. In fact India has 42 UNESCO World Heritage sites.
This temple is really beautiful. I was there in january. I walked to the first entrance with my Gopro. Got STOPPED , had to pack it down before entering. However, there were so many people inside waving around with big cameras inside... However I got more time to relax and enjoy the scenery :)
You should visit Dhanuskodi and Rameswaram, go to pondichery for a French town you also have Auroville which is a Hippe Town and if you want to visit chennai you could, but as it summer time and heat is going to be really really hot, so to exit Tamil Nadu, head to Ooty have a wonderful Summer retreat and ypu can head to Mysore from there.
I visited the temple once before and it was an evening. I spent around 2 hours and i got an energetic vibe from there. Now i want to revisit the place. I recommend visiting the place in the evening not at noon otherwise the heat will take us down
General places I recommend anyone to visit in and around TamilNadu- Chennai - Pondy Bazaar market , Kora food street , Marina and Elliott’s beaches , Metro ,Phoenix Mall ,Anna Zoo, Puduchery ,Ooty-Masinagudi death road and mudhumalai tiger reserve safari. 13 arch bridge which is longer the one in Sri Lanka located in Sengottai-punalur railway track . Madurai Meenakshi temple and Nayakar palace and eat Kottuparotta and bun parotta , Kodaikanal Guna caves and Poombarai, Tirunelveli Nellaiyappar Temple and eat Tirunelveli halwa. Of course you can ’t travel to all place but atleast try to visit some places you’ll probably like them.
