- The Dell XPS 15 9510 with OLED display is one of the best Windows 11 laptops I’ve used. I’ve been using this for two months now and I absolutely love the way it balances beauty, portability, and power. It can also edit 4K 10 bit videos on Premiere Pro.

Just ordered one of these. Specs are what I wanted, but it's nice to get a real world usage review. Thanks for listing things to look out for (like Wifi issues).

I agree. I picked up the 4K a couple months back. Have the i7 with 32GB memory and 1TB storage. It's a fantastic machine. Swapped a 2020 16" MacBpok Pro and haven't looked back.

How was the battery life compared to the 2020 “16? I’m considering switching but don’t want a weaker battery life
@@TheREVOLUTION690 I think the battery life is shorter but not by much. If I was was on video calls on the MBP the battery life was really short. Both will last 4 or 5 hours doing actual work.
A huge plus for the XPS is how quickly it charges.
I think the 2021 MBP is the better machine overall but the XPS is better than the 2020. I'd also say that Windows 11 makes a big difference. It's nice looking and is very fast. Personally I prefer Windows.
That OLED is just amazing especially with fine tuning the color. Dolby is a great touch to an already great machine

i'm loving mine as well. my plan is to use this laptop for DJing. I have 2 other MacBook Pro laptop's for DJing however it was about time to upgrade the 2015 MBP. Purchased the 13-inch MacBook Air M1 but was having configuration issues with my DJ software Serato Pro and returned it for the Dell XPS 15 9510 15-inch screen. Wow. I'm impressed so far.
I'm also planning to buy it for DJing. How is it taking you? Please advise
@@djbrainson i tried Dell XPS 15 9510 and it was acting up. I did not feel comfortable using it to DJ so i went out and bought the 16-inch M2 MacBook Pro. Now the Dell 9510 stays on the kitchen counter. Would not advise using for DJing. I use Serato DJ Pro and Rane Four.

my XPS 15 has the same magnet issue- the right side has a decent sized gap when closed and if I hold it upside down, it opens. I couldn't be bothered to return it though because of how insignificant it was to me. I love the laptop!
Returned mine. I bought the most expensive build they have. Out of the box the track pad was wobbly and made clicking noises. Unacceptable for almost $4,000 USD.

dont buy it it's the faulty visible touch mesh layer plague... they still sell those even if its faulty and everybody return it.. they are scammers like lenovo with their p1 oled

I’m conflicted between the 15 inch oled or the 17 inch FHD with 3060 rtx. I can pick up both for 1900 right now… any suggestions. Biggest concern with oled is the burn in

Battery usage can be adjusted by going to Full HD if you have the 4K model. I get about 7 - 10 hours with the screen brightness at around 40% with both.

hello, i am trying to decide a buy laptop. i am not a creator, engineer but i need CPU power and a little GPU power because of the financial trading programs. These programs need H series CPU that have more core for algo trading. But i do not decide a work station or gaming PC . Legion 5 PRo, Dell XPS 15 , HP Zbook G9 or Fury ? can you give an advice? i concern about stability, thermal issues and a little mobility.

Hi! I don’t know if you still read the comments on this, but I’m looking into using this laptop with an external GPU box via Thunderbolt 3. Many people say that the thermals are much better when using the laptop in this manner, as the CPU inside the laptop gets to use most of the power limit and thermal budget. Have/will you tested this at some point? A pretty high spec model of this laptop is currently on sale for around $1,600, so it’s looking pretty appealing.

Will Dell this year upgrade the 15 version with the design and intel 12th gen? I would like to wait to get a windows laptop with 16:10 aspect ration with 12th gen intel processor (or amd). Those bezels are really thin and that looks gorgeous.

I just got one a couple of days ago and can say so far so good the screen is stunning and it makes everything pop colors are vivid I can do some gaming as well watching something like Rick nd Morty makes it look like a cut scene from a video game next thing I plan on doing is upgrading the ram to 64gb and then add a secondary hd and im good for a few years

It depends.
The MacBooks are great machines but they have their own quirks and issues. You’re definitely going to be paying a lot more for the MacBook, especially if you need more RAM or storage. The big advantage of the XPS is that you can upgrade those yourself, but there’s zero upgradability with the MacBooks so you better buy what you need.

Hi Heyman, is the flicker of the oled screen of xps15 a concern in your perspective? I'm worrying about that since this screen is said to be modulated at low-freq PWM mode.

Excellent videos, I code a lot. I am unable to decide between Fhd+ vs OLED. I am not a into content creation. Can any one suggest which one should I opt for?
I wend for the UHD+ 4K and its superb.
FHD will get amazing battery and still look great. OLED inferior battery but amazing visuals. UHD+ OK battery and ultra sharp images plus brighter than OLED.
@@lewisdoyle I got the Fhd+ version in Artic white. I could not find Artic white in other display options. I can always connect an external OLED monitor if I desire. But considering I will be coding a lot, OLED will be stressful to the eyes in the long run. Besides I anytime will prefer better batter life as it is a portable device.
Next step is to get 64 Gb ram and super fast ssd. I will be getting the WD sn850 but not sure what ram to get.

If the white had been available in UHD+, I would have got it for sure. I think it is now, but not when I ordered. To be fair though, I have come round to the black and do really like it.
The machine is so fast and it’s always a pleasure to use. I upgraded to WIndows 11 and it’s even faster now and looks amazing!

@@cdm297 Great stuff. I moved from a MacBook so I was quite nervous about going to Windows but it feels more natural and familiar to me and I have to say that the quality of the XPS is amazing. I did think about buying a new M1 Max but honestly I don’t have any use case to do that and every time I use the XPS its a pleasure.

They brought its own adapter in its package, including HDMI port
Yes like previously stated but you can use a mouse that have the bt function built in. Logitech M650 is what I use (has quiet clicking) and they have in white with gray to match arctic white XPS.
