While AC Shadows gets defended. 2 is all the other AC games have fictional main characters (MCs). 3 all other AC games MCs are from the region. With the exception of AC 3 which makes sense bc he traveled to the location. 4 Yasuke wasn't a samurai. Although this one is very much debated. 5 they picked the only black guy of note in Japan at the time to make thier game more diverse. Which is a valid view after SBI got thier mits on AC Valhalla. And finally 6 everyone hates Ubisoft. They steal (ie The Crew), they over charge, they make games overly grindy to sell mtx, and are just a terrible company. You bought a LISCENSE to play the game and in the same way that a company can decide to take away your company car because they wanna get rid of it a company can also shut down a server to a game they don't wanna have anymore. It's not a new thing Bungie deleted HALF of Destiny 2 because they didn't want it (or felt like polishing it to re-sell later) game studios get rid of old games off servers to make room for new ones. Regardless what's pissing people off the most is the fact that not only is he black but he's supposed to be gay too. Both characters are. This is like assassin's creed origins with a british guy. So if he wasn't a Samurai by birth (which btw you didnt have to be during the Sengoku period, you could be appointed as one by your Daimyo) then he was still one by every other metric.

He would have him wrestle with other people and when they went out in public they dressed him up and had him carry and umbrellas. His first battle he was in they lost and he was captured and turned into a slave. They try to make his history out as something better, but it was not.
The thing is think of what the Japanese are thinking. With all the historical Japanese figures they could have had the made a diversity team-up of a black Samurai and a female ninja. This was done 100% for wake points.
