  • David Levithan introduces and reads from his new young-adult book EVERY DAY.
Every morning, A wakes in a different person's body, a different person's life. There's never any warning about where it will be or who it will be. A has made peace with that, even established guidelines by which to live: Never get too attached. Avoid being noticed. Do not interfere.
And then A wakes up in the body of Justin and meets Justin's girlfriend, Rhiannon. Can you love someone who is destined to change each day?
YA superstar author David Levithan brings all his trademark insight to a novel that is edgy, romantic and page-turning.
EVERY DAY, the sequel, ANOTHER DAY and SIX EARLIER DAYS (digital only) are out now through Text Publishing.

This books is so good. Also, there is just something so cool when an author read their own words. There's a beauty to it. :)

the way he reads this is so much better than the audiobook.. i wish they would re-record the audiobook with a guy narrating.. ever since i've read the book 2 years ago, it's been my favorite book ever since..

I actually really liked the audiobook. I thought Alex McKenna did a wonderful job narrating. She had such sincerity in her speaking, and it was interesting to think of A as a somewhat female consciousness.

SPOILER HERE DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVEN"T READ THE BOOK
So am I, but I hope the ending will be different, I don't mean - happy, just rational. It's just ridiculous to put your beloved into someone else's bed. "A" only knows facts from Alexander's life, he certainly doesn't know what hides in the boy's mind. Moreover, he says to her that possibly she could have him for life in one body and then decides she should be with Alexander without even asking her opinion. So I say: What the F***?

This book was absolutely amazing. Funny thing is, my name is Rhiannon. I usually go by Ann for short because I always felt I had a strange name.. But this book actually made me proud of my name and I've been telling people to call me Rhiannon rather than Ann.

The concept of this book is heavy. The movie hardly did it just justice because it wasn't from A's perspective, respectively, I understand why it couldn't be when the entire book is inside A's head. But the things were left out of the movie that kept the book open for a second one at the end.

      Hello Arielle,
Unfortunately we aren't aware of there being a movie version of Every Day or even of Another Day. But we wish there were movies for both, just as much as everyone else, or probably more, since we love these books so much. But we promise, if there ever is a movie or movies in the works, we'll let everyone know as soon as we do!
