Both players discuss... but again. Twice has to be agreed by both. If one player says once. It's final.

He thinks Tesla would play weaker flush draws this way so in his eyes it’s a mandatory call.
It's because he knows his cards are live, & there's a chance Tesla is in there w/combo draws, & weak 2 pairs, which was correct. Usually you'd prefer to run it twice in hands you know you're behind, but that wasn't an option here. It's more about expected value than the hand you're holding, which is why players tend to gamble w/big flush draws, even if they know they're behind. In hindsight i guess you could say it was a _"terrible call"_ but if a non-J or 4 club would've come no one would be saying sh1t.

I love the fact that Tesla's ben running it once "MAX PAIN" because I feel too many players are tending to call off/shove off hands knowing they have multiple boards to chop the 2 board runouts if they didn't attain the equity desired by their decision!!! The main reasoning behind the "run it twice" options was for high-stakes poker players to lower their win/loss variance and NOT being a tool in their playbook for the aforementioned reason!!! Now I see running multiple boards at 2-5 games around the country which is utterly ridiculous IMO!!!

One of the things I don’t like about the Lodge is the casual aspect of it. Tesla getting up and leaving the table while the hand is on is very bad etiquette (and doesn’t allow deciding player to read him) and at some casinos would be grounds to muck his hand. It’s a big money game, the etiquette should be followed.
When you're playing with a legendary, Moby Dick type whale like Tesla, you let them pull all the funny business they want to keep them at the table.

Its not nit, its about pot odds and chances and ev, Idiot, 1/3 u can hit the flush but 2/3 u lose and in the long run session its like disaster for ur bank roll, if u play for fun and burn money for charity poker table so its fine but if u play to win and earn real money in long run so u need to learn

Obviously we have the fortune of seeing the hole cards and that Bulldog had less outs than what he probably thought, however even with Tesla's rep and not seeing his hole cards, for me it would still be a fold with 1 card to come and not knowing how many outs are burned etc.
You don't need to see the hole cards. Best case scenario is his Ace being live giving him a 23 percent draw and it was only 2 to 1 on a call so you would need a minimum of 33 percent equity for it to be pot odds. Donkey call.
