Maniratnam thinks he knows everything, he probably is delusional enough to think that PS is his brain child. Ignoring Mr Maniam who drew all those characters and made them immortal in readers’ minds is a clear sign of arrogance.
He has a cinematic liberty of doing whatever he wants with the novel. Do you mean to say he should bring back Kalki from grave and made him cowrite the screenplay then?
