Thank you for posting this!! My gf was knitting and i was doing the dishes, but then i could tell her knitting was going south and i was like ‘oh, brother’, but then she found your video. Our evening was saved!
OMG, thank you so much for this video. Using your method I found out I hadn’t actually twisted my knitting, I had twisted my needles after setting them down. Your video saved me hours of frogging. Thank you!
I enjoy your knitting videos so much. They have really helped me learn to be a better knitter. Today you saved me from starting over on a 132 stitch cowl with an Icelandic cast on. I’m not sure I would have had the will to start again.! I love your wonderful personality on screen.
You've just saved a 404 stitch poncho for my 82 year old Godmother, because I can tell you one yarn worker who didn't have the patience to start again (*insert THIS GIRL gif*)! ALL the thanks....
OMG! Thank you so much! I've had to frog the hem of this dress for my goddaughter so much I was in mear tears when I saw this twist. Thank god I caught it after the first row. Your video saved my sanity (and the dress) 😃
I was just about to frog because I had only joined in the round for 2 rows, but you saved me the pain on redoing my tubular set up rows. Thank you so much. I can’t stand starting over and can’t even feel the twist.
is there any help to make sure it's NOT twisted when you join? it's so hard to tell with a whole lot of stitches in a loose cast-on. when they're on the needle part, they're easy to line up, but soon a they get down on the cable... they're all over the place :/
If you can't tell whether your cast-on is straight or twisted: one work-around is to knit a couple of rows back and forth, and then join in the round. Leave a bit of a longer tail, and you can use the tail to sew together the unjoined rows
Thank you so much for this video. I'm about to start my first hat, in the round. I am hoping to avoid any twists, but at least I know what to do, if I end up making a mistake. :)
Bless you!! Thank you so much for making this video! I just found a twist in a garment I started and was so worried I would have to frog back and recast on
Or there is another method, open few stiches to go to the end of the last round, untwist the needle, and start the next round backwardly and voilla , there will be no notch or bump in that round
I had to cast on 300 for a sweater, found out there was a twist. Casting on is probably my least favorite part of knitting and I was horrified i might need to start over... Thanks for the tip!

This is so helpful. I'm so happy I looked this up early and didn't wait until I had a long length of material
