gee I just bought mine and I am so excited for it to come in because my friend has always had a jbl boombox 3 and I always wanted a better speaker and I think this might be a better one also buy this fast I think ecoxgear is going to be raising the price on this speaker
The turtlebox does in fact have a dedicated hight. In the same spot too. 200 bucks cheaper though might be a game changer for a lot of people

It’s a mono tone only speaker no matter how many you pair up !!! That’s the only true down fall to this speaker
Can you review the ecoxgear tower speakers? I’ve been wanting to buy them for my boat but have still not found a quality review! The battery ones! Appreciate it!

Great review, when you use the 3 modes on equalizer button how do you get to default? Dont know which one im on
The leds change color when you press the eq button. I don't remember what color is default setting. You will hear more bass though if you have it turned up a little.

What app did you connect the Defender to? The SoundsExtrene app only controls the lights from what I see. Wondering how to pair multiple as they claim.
The app only controls the lights. The bluetooth button is also the cast button.
The button that looks like the arrow allows you to put the speaker in ECOCAST Recieve or ECOCCAST transmit. So you connect your phone to the speaker you are going to put in ECOCAST TX mode then the other speaker in ECOCAST receive mode. ECOXGEAR has dozens of products with ECOCAST. So you can connect to multiple Defenders or other ECOXGEAR. speakers. The manual explains a ton more of the features ..
Thanks, I got it figured out once reading the manual. I was just under the impression that the app did more than just lights on the speaker.
It doesn’t have true stereo though correct ? A dedicated left and right channel ?

Yes but when you hook up 2 speakers,, the turtle boxes have a true left and right channel like your car stereo ,, hence this is why turtle box can only have 2 pairs at a time where the defender is straight mono tone all the time
@chadkindle3112 oh okay, I belive (but could be wrong) they will still be in mono. I say that only because how many of them can be connected without an app. For instance the soundboks can have several connected but with the app you cam choose left right or center channel.
