@@NovaFeedback1979 John can barely hear judging by the video and seems like a cranky old man. He had his time. Some of his movies are great and some are not. Nothing lasts forever but some of his films might be around another 100 years. Maybe 200
Fantastic! There were rumors whispered about during the bananas-awesome Saturday show that he would be there on Sunday. Few, including myself, believed it. I am still kicking myself for not returning for the Sunday show. This video helps soften the blow. Thanks, Robert for recording and posting it.🤘🤘🤘👏👏👏👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
John carpenter is the Goat 🐐 He’s a really talented filmmaker, He gives me the vibes of a stern yet loving uncle, me and him share a birthday, Jan 16th
I don't wanna hear Nick Castle's whole “aw, shucks" routine about how he didn't do anything special and anyone could have done what he did as The Shape in Halloween. The man freaking glides when he walks. No one could have played The Shape like he did. Dick Warlock moved like a robot in Halloween II.
This was excellent, Carpenter holding court and bringing everyone out, just awesome. I was fortunate to meet Carpenter twice and he was so accommodating and cool, it’s priceless when someone you look up to is everything you could hope for when meeting in person
It would be fantastic if Lucas and Spielberg let some of his projects being Directed by this man. I think Willow, Laberynth or even Poltergeist would be darker and wittiest under his hand.
Thank you hearty for the panel uploads. Easy peazy sub. It's going to be a wonderful weekend. Interesting to think on the subject that Nancy was talking about , the woman directors who's doors were opened because of people like Debra Hill. We might have never gotten the original Pet Semetary with Mary Lambert the way we did if it weren't for people like Debra.
John: I am getting paid for this, right? And I'm getting paid for every 100 views on UA-cam, right? I enjoy getting paid. You know that about me, right?
If Blumhouse couldn’t find “Bob” for Halloween: Kills, how’d the convention organizers find him with apparent ease? 😅 Upon researching, it sounds as if Blumhouse just wanted the Better Call Saul dude (who looks nothing like Graham) for the cameo and didn’t bother to actually try looking for John Graham at all. Anywho, glad to see him on the stage. Thanks for recording and uploading!! 😁
I had wondered that myself! I read an interview with David Gordon Green talking like they went to exhaustive lengths to find the guy. Then days later I see he is booked for a convention 😅
It was awesome seeing them all on stage together. Were you there? My only hope is that we can get John to attend H50 with Jamie Lee Curtis and finally complete the whole thing!
I really like John Carpenter for his work and his cranky attitude. I love more of his musical scores than I do half of his movies. People want him to direct, mainly another Halloween really badly, but they have to realize he's up there in age and his attitude about making another film isn't good. Me personally, I wish he'd embrace the love and respect that the Halloween fandom has for him and give us a True sequel to Halloween 2 in the Michael verse and complete a trilogy before time gets away for us. He could set it in 1983 and lean into the supernatural edge way more and go hard with tension and stalking and a few brutal kills. Michael could wake up 5 years later from being terribly burned and go on another spree against other characters before he gets caught again. That leads Laurie to fake her death before H4. But yeah what if. He's old he's cranky let him retire in peace.
I def' disagree with him being an overrated filmmaker. Hes done more with movies with budgets a fraction of what others would need to accomplish the same things. As far as never wanting a franchise in the first place, that doesn't mean he doesn't like the original film--he just wanted to leave it alone without making sequels, and while I love the whole series, I cant fault him for feeling it didnt need one. Many people agree with him on that.
@@robertsommerfield6716 I don’t see what he did that was so special, sorry. And I was talking about all the movies prior to the original Halloween. Which he still was part of until season of the witch, then the 2018 reboot. And never owned being just like everyone else, who risked themselves at carrying the Halloween legacy. When his own ideas for the franchise weren’t well received.
Someone let this man direct a new movie and let him make it be about whatever the hell he wants. We will be watching!
I mean, The Ward was......... yeeeeah.
He's very old and deserves a nice retirement.
@@BensRideNonsense. Francis Ford Coppola is almost ten years older and he has a new film coming out.

Yw! Subscribe and keep watching as I’m uploading all of the panels over the next few days. Only one I didn’t get was the Rob Zombie panel.

John is in FINE form. He sounds so full of energy! That quick wit never lets up.
John a legend best horror director. My favorite awesome would love to gone to this dang
John had no idea that Halloween would be so successful. Shame it turned in to a horrible franchise.
At least he got paid for the shitty sequels and didn’t have to do any work 😂 that’s a win in my book
That’s the fate of most horror franchises unfortunately. Evil Dead is one of the few to keep its head above water in that regard.

Great audio man I tell you thanks
Thanks! I used an external mic on my iPhone and glad it worked out!

World class UA-camr Michael Does Life in the background 👑👑👑
Who knew John Carpenter was an ABBA fan? I respect him even more now (if that was possible).
Never knew that either but makes sense with Abba having a lot of cool & catchy synth work in their music.
That has to be the most underwhelming stage and stage setup i have ever seen... did they have zero budget for this or what?
The master of horror.

This is so wonderful!! I'm glad Mr Carpenter is looking so good and is speaking so well
Awesome video. Thank you!

We're good now you've come to the scene John.

When and where did this take place?
Oct 1st at H45 in Pasadena
This guy is the only director to have a sequel that's not boring
Mad max 2... Scream 2.. Aliens.. lord of the rings..
If you are referring to Halloween 2, I agree...even though he didn't direct it and has heavily shat upon it for years.
