The Mulford act of 1968 was the california law that made it illegal to carry a loaded weapon in public without a permit. It was put in effect directly to ensure the Black Panther Party could no longer use firearms to patrol their streets to make their neighborhood safe.

I'm sure someone has already said this, but Locksmith is that guy. His lyrical prowess is God tier. He's for real about his business. It's safe to say he's alot of your favorite rapper's favorite rapper. You can pick pretty much any track by Lock and be amazed. Love the reaction gentlemen.
"Seed of Yazid will never get bayyah." He's referencing an important part of Islamic history in which Imam Hussain and his family were murdered on the plains of Karabala because of his refusal to give the oath of allegiance (bayyah) to Yazid ibn Mu'awiya... "disarm blacks with the Mulford act" is a reference to the bill that passed as a direct attack on the Black Panther Party's tactic of using firearms as a means of self defense. He then follows it up by a reference to the COINTELPRO which was orchestrated by the head of the FBI, J Edgar Hoover.

Yep. This new freestyle he did is the wickedest Locksmith freestyle I've ever heard and the best freestyle period of 2024. The rappers who come after Lock on Sway and on the other hip hop media platforms must go crazier than Lock did this year. Straight up.

Man you guys been sleeping if this your first time hearing Lock, he's easily been the best rapper out for probably the past 4-5 years. This is honestly probably one of his worse freestyles, his other Sway ones and his stuff on Kay Slay make this look simple. Lyrically the only dudes even close to Lock currently are Los, Crooked and Oswin Benjamin.
You should definitely check out some of Locks other freestyles, there's one on Sway where he's rapping to Fat Joe and Dre which is just ridiculous. Also Oswins freestyle on Sway which Sway called the verse of that year is absolutely worth seeing too, probably the best Sway freestyle to ever be done.
