  • Ready to explore Pluto? NASA’s New Horizons - the fastest spacecraft ever created - will speed past Pluto on July 14, 2015, beaming back high resolution photos (and invaluable data) of the dwarf planet’s surface for the first time in human history.
We, the members of the National Space Society, believe exploring the unknown for the betterment of all is among humanity’s most essential pursuits. We honor the historic New Horizons mission by commissioning the inimitable Erik Wernquist to create this video.

money voted to the trash, never the human being will be able to live in pluton.
Only humans who have Christ will live in a more distant place than Pluto, we will live in the Kingdom of Heaven. So if you want to go further than Pluto, look for Jesus

Even just on this UA-cam Page, I see people of all different cultures and languages, speaking for their own mystery and wonder. I see no fighting, no supremacist, no complaints about borders or politics. This is what humankind is, and we are Planet Earth. What will it take for the rest of people; the ones who can't see beyond their own rock, to look up and realize how small they are? How do we get the governments to stop tracing acres already discovered, and start exploring again? To everyone complaining about crampedness, and overpopulation I say LOOK UP. This is where the future lies, and keeping you head down deprives your grandchildren's children from their dreams.

Space exploration is just so beautiful and amazing and I don't think we appreciate just how awesome it is, that 50 years ago, we put people on the moon. 20 years from now, we'll have people on Mars. And that's just the beginning. Space exploration is so endless and I only wish I'll live long enough to see us in places we never thought possible to go before.

Venera 7 was the first spacecraft to successfully soft land on another planet (Venus) and to transmit data from there back to Earth
Or "the humanity " again means only U.S. ?

Fantastic movie and really beautifully made. Just a couple of questions though. In this movie, New Horizons is seen to fly past Pluto on the 'right' of the planet (as seen from the sun). Other movies, the New Horizons website and even the Eyes on the Universe simulation show NH flying past on the left. Also, the movies and Eyes on the Universe show Pluto as being much further away (about 7000 miles i think) than shown in this movie. I have to admit though that this close fly by is simply gorgeous and very awe inspiring. I guess at the end of it all I would have to put it all down to some very wonderful 'artistic license'. Congratulations!
