That was the first song from Tommy that I heard, and I was hooked! 🎉🎊❤💙 All of his songs are amazing! I like the covers of Steelheart and the Italian songs.
Tommy "ReinXeed" Johansson, born October 26, 1987 in Boden, is a Swedish multi-instrumentalist, singer and music producer, best known for his work in the bands Sabaton and Majestica. Participated in Rhapsody in rock at Dalhalla together with Robert Wells, among others, July 2023. So Tommy's all Covers video is just him, all the instruments, camera and computer, unless he also invited a guest to join in singing. Tommy does a little rock version of The Phamtom of the Opera. Yes, all his covers are metal covers and several are better than the original
Tommy Johansson is one of the best musicians on YT. I love this song, but She's Gone (Steelheart) is my favourite. 🥰 Phantom Of The Opera is fantastic too, maybe you'd like to check them out sometime. 😉
Fantastic! You're finally going down the Tommy J. rabbit hole! You should definitely check out his Phantom of the Opera, Euphoria, and the many, many other covers of his. He is phenomenal.
Well, this was so much FUN! It's always great to see people get introduced to Tommy and have their "moment"...I just have to warn you there is no going back, he is almost exclusively the only artist I listen to anymore (and that crowds out some unbelievably talented people!). Every cover he does is an upgrade and his original "The Light" is my favorite! But, yes you HAVE to check out his band Majestica, their official video "Above the Sky" is great and they also did a whole metal album based on "A Christmas Carol" (Tommy LOVES Christmas)! Then go on to discover Sabaton, that's the band Tommy was lead guitarist for but just recently left to pursue his own projects. They are great, they are metal also and their music is based on famous historical battles, you will learn so much from them. Their lead singer has his own distinct style that fits their music so well...(but Tommy is my guy). Give their songs "1916", "Christmas Truce" and "The Last Stand" a listen, they're amazing! So much talent from Sweden! Keep going! ❤
I heard you. =) Whoever reads this must believe that you're Swedish, but since I know you somewhat, I know you're not. (But you may become one and make us Swedes a better people-anyway, in a musical way!) 🙏 🎸 🍷 🎶💥🌹✊💯🍾
Welcome to Tommyland. Tommy was the guitarist for Sabaton until resently. They sing about glorious events from diffrent wars without glorifying the war itself. The christmas truce is one of the songs. ua-cam.com/video/HPdHkHslFIU/v-deo.html Tommys own band is called Majestica and wow what a group of talented people. This is one of their songs. Metal united, you just get happy and want to dance by this one. ua-cam.com/video/UO37wJG1j2k/v-deo.html Then you have around 200 covers made by Tommy playing some fourteen diffrent instruments, singing like a god, speaks at least three languages fluently (Swedish, English and Italian) filming, directing and producing all his own films. His vocal range is 6 octavs, from deep base to the wisslenote by Maria Carey. This is his farwell and thank you to Sabaton ua-cam.com/video/Js5VJfIRtes/v-deo.html WELCOME
You have now met my absolutely favourite artist, on the same level as I love VoicePlay/ Geoff. I've longed for you you to discover Tommy a long time by now. In fact ever since I found that you had reacted to Loreens Euphoria way back. Yes, you have seen a Swedish artist before. Tommy recently did a power metal version of Euphoria. He had previous a version on his channel with him duetting Loreen in that same song. Tommy is a multi-talented multi-instrumentalist. Born in 1987 in the very north of Sweden, he started learning guitar at age 9 as his father introduced him to the music of guitar icon Gary Moore, of Thin Lizzie. Starting his first band ReinXeed at age 15. That band recently celebrated its 20ieth anniversary under its nowadays name Majestica. Tommy composing the music and fronting that band all the time. During 2016-2023 lead guitarist of metal band Sabaton. During the same time having a solo career making covers of all kind of artists on his YT channel. Among his previous works a whole ABBA album Swedish Hitz Goes Metal. There are over 200 covers on his channel, all of them are pure gold. His Winner Takes It All WILL blow your mind, as well as his Queen covers and much more. When you watch a Tommy video he does it all himself. Filming, editing, mixing. Playing all instruments you hear, sometimes using plug-ins as for drum, though he is a drummer too. I've seen Tommy play guitar, bass, keyboard/piano, drums, banjo, recorder, harmonica, accordion and mouth harp in various videos. A very goophy humour seeps in now and then. All that have met him state that he is a humble, likeable guy. 1.95 cm tall. Total nerd on collecting stuffs from certain movies as gremlins and Deloorians. Huge collection of Ninja Mutant Turtle.
Tommy is pure genius and us Swedes are so proud of him. Three things: 1) Tommy's already done a cover of "Winner takes it all". 2) He has his own band called Majestica where he's, of course, lead singer. If you want to check them out you should start with "Above the sky". 3) He was lead guitar in the Swedish powermetal band Sabaton and their singer doesn't sound anything like Tommy but has a very distinct voice. I recommend starting with "Christmas Truce". You should know that Sabaton mostly sings about historical war events and they even have their own history channel here on UA-cam, called Sabaton History, where they go through the historical facts and stories behind their songs with a legit historian. Name one other band that does anything similar to that. Good rock combined with a history lesson, that's what you'll get from Sabaton.
If you want your brain to explode and pour out of your ears, try listening to his version of You Raise Me Up One Octave Challenge... where he sings the entire song an entire octave higher than the original... and have your fan on standby!! In fact, you may need a whole new fan just for him!
In addtion to his own band, he's also put out two entire albums of covers called Swedish Hits Go Metal Vol I and II. He covers a whole slew of ABBA as well as Roxette and Ace of Base. Plus the covers he's been putting out regularly every week. Definitely check him out. Sabaton is the band he was 'the guitarist' in and it's a whole entire rabbit hole itself. His band Majestica he's guitarist and vocals.
You should listen to his YOU RAISE ME UP (1 OCTAVE CHALLENGE). He hits a note at the end that will blow your mind!

Welcome to Team Tommy. You can pick anything from his channel or Majestica’s channel and you will not be disappointed. I love his vocals and his guitar playing and yes he should have so much more followers. He plays all instruments himself, produce/mix and film/edit everything as well and is a good painter as well (you can see some of it in Majestica’s videos and in the Circle of Life cover). You should definitely check out Majestica (where he is lead guitarist and lead vocalists) and Sabaton where he was guitarist for 7 years. Best covers so hard to say but Phantom of the Opera, Sound of Silence, The Price and No Easy Way Out are some of my favourites. But he has some videos that just are so funny to watch as well like Cotton Eye Joe. And The Light 20 year celebration is a must (it is not a cover but he has it on his own channel). With Majestica Above the Sky official video is a good start.
Welcome to the world of Tommy J and also to the world of Metal. I’ve always been criticized for listening to it but now you know what I know. It indeed pumps you up and makes you feel invincible and happy.
Hi DJ. THIS was SO much fun watching you experience Tommy for the first time. I have only been following him for a month or so. Isn't he stupendous!!! Boy are you ever going to love all of his videos!!! The reason this song was suited to Metal, is because Tommy is a Metal Rock God and makes EVERY song his own. I just subbed because I can't wait to watch you watching and listening to this insanely talented and bombastic performer !!! Wear a seat belt so you don't fall off your chair!! Thank you for The giggles 😆🤘🎸🎶🔊😲
I would love to see your reaction to Tommy's cover of Cotton Eye Joe. He plays guitar, drums, banjo and keytar in it and you also get a wonderful view into his sense of humor.
So glad you have dipped into the Team Tommy world. You should check his Phantom of the Opera (sings both parts of the duet) Hallelujah from Leonard Cohen, his cover of Heart's Alone and everything he has done with his own original band Majestica. ❤❤❤
Great reaction and welcome to the Tommy J rabbit hole. If you need more ABBA, you can check out "The winner takes it all" and "Waterloo". He has also fantastic Queen and Gary Moore covers and many many more. He was (until January) the guitarist of Sabaton, a Swedish power metal band. They tell true stories about war - like a power metal history channal. You should react to "Bismark", "1916" and "Christmas truce". Greetings from Germany - Maik
Oh, you absolutely have to check out Tommy's cover of The Phantom of the Opera! He sings both parts and it's absolutely amazing! Apart from that Ithink my favourites by his are I'm Still Standing (Elton John cover, awesome and also hilarious) and Ave Maria (because who the hell makes a metal version of a classical latin hymn?! Well, Tommy does, and pulls it off perfectly.) Sabaton is the band he is (sadly on his way out of being) a guitar player for. They've created their own genre of "history metal", telling stories from mainly military history with their music, and doing it epically. I highly recommend checking out their music videos for Christmas Truce, Bismarck, or a live version of Uprising.
He did a Christmas power metal cover of Blink 182's All the small things, - 😁✨💯! It's impossible to pick just one favorite. 'Futures world, Headless cross, Alone, Winner takes it all, Downeaster Alexa, Euphoria'.... and all the Gary Moore covers of course 😊 (love Gary 🎸) 😅 Dude, you have a lot to do, enjoy! ✨
Cool reaction 👍🏻 my personnel favorite is from his old band reinxeed "the light" where there is some history to... but he has done soooo much... chrismas covers are awesome... swedish version "oh helga natt" oh holy night... gets me speechless... but maybe becase im Swedish 😊 take care
Tommy covered a LOT of ABBA. He put out two albums called "Swedish Hitz Goes Metal" 1&2. And yes, he covers "Super Trooper" and "Money, Money, Money". He also put out an updated cover of "Money, Money, Money" recently on his UA-cam channel.
Can’t believe you don’t know about this guy! Lol he is freaking awesome. Should listen to She’Gone. The high notes he hits are awesome. I love watching him play the guitar. He’s all around awesome. So glad you listened and reacted. ❤
Great reaction! 🤗 Welcome to team Tommy! 💕 The winner takes it all or You raise me up are fantastic too. From his band Majestica check out Above the sky! 👌🎶
Tommy can make all of songs in power metal. He's so great and fantastic. You should check out all his songs. Also from Majestica, his own band. He can play all Instruments by himself. He had his own channel. Your reaction is so great 🫶 please more Tommy ❤🤘
Your videos come out in middle of night for me. So I was listening to this while on the exercise bike. Good job you were pausing because his music was pulling me to go much faster than normal 😂. Might not have been able to walk without your pauses. Thanks for the fun, and exhausting, wake up DJ.
Tommy is mindblowing! Please react to more from him. You've actually reacted to a swedish singer recently - Chris Kläfford! Please react to more songs from him as well! 😊
Tommy has done several ABBA songs, search Tommy Johansson ABBA and you will find them all. You should also check out his covers of Phantom of the Opera, You Raise Me Up and several songs by Queen and Elton John.
