Sun shroom is one of the best sun producers as it has a middle phase which produces normal sun but you can also plant food it when that happens it gives you a lot of sun and grows up immediately and you can plant more of them unlike a sunflower
I love how big Cherry Bomb's glow up was. He went from being good in PvZ 1 to being probably one of the best plant in the entire game for PvZ 2. Only a few plants can actually be better, if not a few than only 1.
Bit of a fun fact about shrinking violet, it oneshots imps. On top of that, it can freeze Arnold’s (gargantuars) meaning if it shrinks an Arnold, it kills the imp along with it
Pro tip: the shrinking violet completely annihilates small enemies such as imps. So if you get the imp pear and turn zombies and gargantors into imps and shrinking violet them they'll be deleted from existence. Also I'm pretty sure you shrinking violet twice to do the same thing.

In case you didnt sort it out, the ice cube on the zombies head is actually just another defense thats even tougher than buckets. So in this game theres actually 4 grades of armor. None, cone, bucket and something stronger like a barrel in pirates seas or a minecart in the wild west. Theres actually a 5th level of armor for like 2 worlds
Good way of explaining it is that there's 1-4 for certain worlds, but some worlds have armor that's 3.5 rather than 4 (bulkier than bucket but not as bulky as brickhead). Ice block would be a 3.5 meanwhile a 4 would be a barrel head or pyramid head for example. Jurassic Marsh has both with a fossilhead (3.5) and an amberhead (4). By this I mean 1s absorb the least damage (die quicker) and 4s absorb the most damage. Pharaoh zombie is another 3.5 or might be a 2 but there's also pyramid heads. Although the almanac says that Brickheads and additional world armor have the same amount of defense and absorb the same amount of damage, it's wrong as world armor absorbs less
The fact they're not all metallic is unbelievably stupid. There's no real counter to them besides Insta Use or Insta Kills. Or give us another plant that counters non-metallic materials. Please PopCap

Tip about Shrinking Violet: It can only be activated (excluding its plant food) when a zombie goes in front of it in the same lane. (So no you can’t put it in the middle lane and normally shrink a zombie above or below if nothing is in that same lane.) Upon activation it will shrink anything in a 3 x 3 area around it.

Wolfy, you can avoid ads by going into the quest log, go to the world category, and where it say’s how many levels you are from unlocking the next plant, click on that every time you finish a world level. Each time you finish a level, it gives you the opportunity to go to the quest log.
I want to make a reminder about this: When you select a plant there is a little heart icon you can click, this will mark it as a ‘favorited’ plant All this does is position that plants seed packet at the top left-most spot on the seed selection menu, pretty helpful for selecting plants like shrinking violet
On the top left of the seed selection menu, you can favorite the current selected seed by clicking the heart icon. You can do this on your favorite like repeater, torchwood, shrinking violet, etc and then they will always appear at the top of the seed selection menu.

Also you made a very good investment with Shrinking Violet, easily one of the best plants in the game and she will help a lot in the later levels, especially with her low sun cost so you can just throw one down and any big zombies within range become so weak you could probably just keep Reapeter/Torchwood for a very long time, also she will make Penny's pursuit so much easier in some situations, also just wait until you get some of the Modern day plants like Moonflower and Nightshade, they are really good.

Shrinking Violet. Another S Tier Plant in my opinion. Really love her Also yes. Sunshroom is much better in this game. Second best Sun Producer, only beaten by Primal Sunflower, and she's very late game so. I highly reccomend And also Stunion is like Iceberg Lettuce but costs 25 more sun, has more range an works better with Fire Plants. Fecking Chilli Bean, he's nothing like Stunion
Moonflower is better if you're willing to always double row your sun producers, or if you wanna use shadow plants. But I still personally use primal sunflower.

IF you were eventually to get a premium plant, (Don't recommend until late game like Big Wave Beach and Jurrasic Marsh) You should definitely get one of these: - Gold Bloom: By far one of the most overpowered plants in the game, gives 400 sun instantly and costs 0 sun, the only downside being once you use it he takes over a minute to recharge. But it should help with getting sun early on. - Grapeshot: Essentially a Cherry bomb, but better, keeps the 3x3 explosion radius, but also launches grapes all across the board doing less damage, but still enough to kill imps and other small zombies. - Cold Snapdragon: Like snapdragon, only slows zombies and plant food effect freezes and does damage, love this one. But the downside is that you shouldn't use any fire plants with it because their effects will just cancel each other out. - Imitater: Same from the first game. - Electric Peashooter: Weak on it's own but acts like lightning reed and the damage chains into other lanes, also pierces through every zombie. When upgraded it's a powerhouse. Wasabi Whip: Bonk Choy, but has a fire effect and better plant food. Regarding the crashes/freezes for bluestacks - - - just hit the "recent apps" icon at the top left, it sits next to the home icon, press that and click back into the game, it fixes itself. I would've mentioned this ages ago, however, I just found this series and have been binging it , you've made me want to play this game.

Just a QOL tip. You can favourite plants when picking them for a level, so they appear on the top of your plant list. Just tap a heart outline when picking a plant
The next 100 gems you get then you should either invest in fire pea or buy homing thistle, because upgraded fire pea seems really good and... well, homing thistle is a cattail on all levels
Yeah sun-shroom is pretty much busted in this game. It gives you 75 sun in the end for an initial cost of 25, which is dirt cheap. Once you get to dark ages, I recommend you to use it
Hot Potato does damage while a zombie is walking through a frozen zombie and only hits the non frozen zombie. And zombies don't typically eat it so you could use it like a damaging grave buster.
Someone should tell em that sun shroom is actually the best sun producer in the game! It's very easy to get alot of em down early on when shorten the span of time zombies start to show up , you can get by with the rest but sun shroom will CARRY you toward in the last three worlds of the game
Wolfy if you're still having issues with ads crashing your game on Bluestacks, then try this fix: Enable advance mode - Menu>Settings>Engine>Graphics Engine> Select compatibility switch ABI Settings to ARM - Menu>Settings>Engine> ABI setting> Arm , restart BlueStacks post making the changes and check if the app still crashes for you
wolfy you should grind mints you could get the spear mint which is really good since it sets up a layer of spikerocks at the front for free it's coming into the shop in 7 days you grind arena to get mints

Yeah sun-shroom is pretty much busted in this game. It gives you 75 sun in the end for an initial cost of 25, which is dirt cheap. Once you get to dark ages, I recommend you to use it

Frostbite caves is the world that tricks you into thinking it got harder, then you start lost city and think it’s pretty easy, *until the end of it*
Hot Potato does damage while a zombie is walking through a frozen zombie and only hits the non frozen zombie. And zombies don't typically eat it so you could use it like a damaging grave buster.

Someone should tell em that sun shroom is actually the best sun producer in the game! It's very easy to get alot of em down early on when shorten the span of time zombies start to show up , you can get by with the rest but sun shroom will CARRY you toward in the last three worlds of the game

Wolfy if you're still having issues with ads crashing your game on Bluestacks, then try this fix:
Enable advance mode - Menu>Settings>Engine>Graphics Engine> Select compatibility
switch ABI Settings to ARM - Menu>Settings>Engine> ABI setting> Arm , restart BlueStacks post making the changes and check if the app still crashes for you

Wolfy if you click the heart button on a plant it will move it to the top of the select screen
you can "favorite" certain plants by enabling the heart at the top left (a silhouette of a heart), that way you aren't scrolling down to bring your gem plants
