Want a grain-free crumb? Try blending equal parts of pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds and mixed spices in a blender until you have a fine crumb, then proceed to crumb like normal. It's a fabulous way of avoiding grains altogether and the taste is really good.
@@sarahflenley1 yep exactly the same. And lamb steaks are the best ones, although I've been known to cut the meat off a cutlet, pound it thin and then use that also. Very tender!
This is one kitchen super power that's a must have. Pretty much everything is 10x with a yummy, crunchy crumbing. Simple but oh so tasty - I love these tool box episodes.
hey Kim, i quite like the Lifestyle Gluten Free Crumb (shop.coles.com.au/a/national/product/lifestyle-bakery-bread-crumbs-gluten-free). I know Woolworths also do a great gluten free panko style crumb which is super crunchy. I will put another grain free option shortly in the comments for you to use also 👍🏼

Yum, my favourite is crumbed lamb.

Same process with frying? And lamb steaks?

i totally agree
Yummy, thank you so much. My crumbing has always been pretty average so will try this for sure! What spice mixes did you add in?
Just pepper and garlic, keep it simple but you can add anything you like such as Cajun spices for example
This is making my mouth water, what was the crumb called that you used, rice crumb?

@@LivingFoodWise I tried with the Woolworths panko style crumb. It was goooood.. very crunchy.. what a great staple. I love these 'how-to' videos
@@kimsalter5079 that's awesome to hear. Love the feedback!
Hey Janine,
Is it best to tenderise chicken breast before crumbling?
No, not necessarily Kim. Chicken is not a tough meat, but it is good to smash it down just to get an even layer of meat so it cooks evenly. 😉👍
