╔ About The Tempur-Pedic ProAdapt Mattress ╗
Tempur-Pedic is a mattress manufacturer that is part of Tempur-Sealy International. The brand currently offers the following mattress models.
The TEMPUR-Adapt, or Adapt, is available in two distinct designs. The all-foam Adapt is constructed with a memory foam comfort layer and a high-density polyfoam support core. Alternatively, the hybrid Adapt features a memory foam comfort layer and a pocketed coil support core. Both versions of the Adapt have dual-layer SmartClimate cooling covers; they are each considered ‘Medium’ in terms of firmness, or a 5 on the 1-10 firmness scale.
The TEMPUR-ProAdapt, or the ProAdapt, is another Tempur-Pedic mattress sold as an all-foam or hybrid bed. The all-foam version is available in three firmness settings: ‘Soft’ (3), ‘Medium’ (5), and ‘Firm’ (7); it is built with a memory foam comfort layer and a high-density support core. The hybrid is offered with ‘Medium’ (5) firmness and substitutes the foam support core for pocketed coils. All versions of the ProAdapt come with a dual-layer SmartClimate cooling cover.
The TEMPUR-LuxeAdapt, or LuxeAdapt, is an all-foam mattress available in ‘Soft’ (3) or ‘Firm’ (7) settings. It is constructed with a dual-layer SmartClimate cover, memory foam comfort layer, and high-density polyfoam support core.
Tempur-Pedic’s newest model, the TEMPUR-breeze°, or breeze°, is also available in multiple settings. The TEMPUR-PRObreeze°, or PRObreeze°, is offered as an all-foam or hybrid mattress; both have a ‘Medium’ (5) firmness level. The all-foam model has a memory foam comfort layer and high-density support core, while the hybrid swaps the foam core for pocketed coils. The TEMPUR-LUXEbreeze°, or LUXEbreeze°, is an all-foam bed available in ‘Soft’ (3) and ‘Firm’ (7) settings. All TEMPUR-breeze° models have dual-layer SmartClimate covers padded with a layer of phase-change material (PCM). According to Tempur-Pedic, the PRObreeze° sleeps roughly 3° cooler than average and the LUXEbreeze° sleeps 8° cooler than average.
Tempur-Pedic mattresses are constructed from high-quality memory foam that offers more longevity than the foams used by most competitors. As a result, these mattresses tend to have longer-than-average lifespans.
All-foam Tempur-Pedic models offer consistent conforming, above-average pain and pressure relief, and exceptional motion isolation. Hybrids, on the other hand, provide great temperature neutrality and strong edge support, along with better-than-average motion isolation. However, the brand’s models have received some criticism as well. Chief complaints about Tempur-Pedic beds include strong odor potential, excessive weight, and price-points that are much higher than average.
Tempur-Pedic offers free White Glove delivery for all mattress orders within the contiguous U.S. Each bed is backed by a 90-night sleep trial and a 10-year warranty. Read on to learn more about Tempur-Pedic mattresses in terms of construction, pricing, and owner ratings. im surprised this video doesnt have more views, great review, thanks for giving me more insight on the mattress! exactly what i was looking for!
I got this mattress in the winter. It felt firm enough for me. However, in the spring/summer, the foam became so soft that only my hips would sink deep into the mattress. I then developed sciatica and other hip and lower spinal issues. I was in constant severe pain. My back only got better when i switched to a spring mattress. I lost $3000 dollars because temperpedic refused to take it back or exchange it for me.
I know you pain i don't sciatica but i know the pain of being this crappy bed
I just purchased this mattress in a Medium and will be exchanging it to a Firm. The mattress felt nice at the store but when I took delivery and slept on it for several nights, my back started to feel tight and achy. I will have to cough up an extra $250 for the restocking fee.
@@kc0isw see, that’s why I purchased the hybrid that comes with coils as wells. I can’t do all foam.
The rules are the rules it's not tempur's fault. They do give a 90 day return policy. You can't expect companies to take stuff back forever.
@@justinitsthatguyme010 who said it wasn't within the 90 days??
I would give the firm over 10 on a 1 to ten scale. It's hard like a bag of sand! I'm 6'1 250 pounds. Definitely go with the medium and soft for light weight people.
I’m 275 and I find the medium def on the firm end of medium too!
Ok review.. I wish all three firmness choices were tested. I also had to assumme that a Medium was used for the test?
Yes
Did anyone of these people actually sleep on this bed or just lay on it for a few minutes?
Very comprehensive! Thanks!
Super vidéo 😀 des matelas exceptionnels 👌
It was a best information, thank you
The firm comfort layer is way denser. Tempur ES is actually pretty light, about 4.1lb. I got the firm on amazon for almost 3k after tax. Huge discount.
Still like this mattress? This is my 3rd in 2 months. Hoping it works, lower back pain from sealy hybrid. 230 pound 6’2
@@drewweglein5206 Tempurpedic is the only memory foam mattress that still feels like new after over two years.
@@drewweglein5206 still feels like new two years after. I am also 230 pound but 6.1
My experience with their warranty was terrible! Mine developed a soft spot in the middle which made it totally uncomfortable. I was told warrenty DECLINED. My opinion is to avoid TempurPedic.
Hey I completely agree on the sinkage, I thought I had a good one. Its been around ten days already waking up with stomach pain and I only weigh 150lbs. Im not sure if I need a firm or just another brand.
What was the reason they declined it for being a warranty issue?
I know on their sight they should warranty if there’s a 0.75/3/4 of an inch sag.
@@akaredcrossbow they just said it wasn't warranty. Alot of hoops to jump in through just to be told NO.
@@mowerparts3824 That’s extremely disappointing to hear. I was going to call them because my 1 year 3 month King Adapt Medium Hybrid has a big lump in the middle going from head to foot and two craters on each side of the bed, body impressions. Just recently we’ve been experiencing shoulder and hip pain and feel like I’m bottoming out at the coils. Also we are hearing noise in the bed, almost like thick plastic crinkling, sounds like something is delaminating inside the bed.
This is discouraging.
Ive been waking up sore from shoulders, arms, back and hips with our new tempur pedic proadapt firm mattress 😔
@Neo Gaming Channel I'm finally getting used to it. I couldn't do anything about it anyway with everything going on 🤷♀️
Jenjen Gomez didn’t you try the Medium??
Neo Gaming Channel did you feel “sinking”? is it Warm as some say
@@hastensavoir7782 I loved the hard one when I tried them all. Just the first days I'd wake up sore lol now I'm used to it and I love it:)
Jenjen Gomez maybe your body was adapting to the new mattress ;)
good review, do you have the review of luxe freeze soft ? im 5,11ft and 187lb
I've never been a huge fan of Tempur-Pedic, I feel like every time I try to like a mattress or product it sleeps way too hot for me. Great information anyways though :)
The hybrid is soooooo cool I love ours. My husband doesn’t swear while sleeps anymore.
@@SabinaSoto Geez that must be annoying. Id hate my wife swearing at night
The older ones were hot, but these newer ones are not that way. Nice and cool!!
Bedjet!!!
Is 80kg heavy? Because i chose the soft one and im 80kg, love it!
I got this mattress a month ago and I got vertigo the first two nights I slept on it which no one could explain why that would happen. I woke up with vertigo and I've never had it in my life but it went away and I slept longer than I slept in years. But the last week I've been having worse back pain low back pain I've ever had in my life. Can it be from this bed? I don't understand because I've been sleeping on a sagging couch for 3 years and I've never had back issues. So why now with the almost $4,000 mattress am I having low back pain all the time? And what would be a better option? It's not fair that we only get to exchange it one time
I never thought a foam mattress could be so hard but it is getting softer but I can't see how two people could sleep on this thing. I woke up a few times by the ends and I thought I was going to fall out
They are expensive but you need a latex foam mattress with the proper latex pillow. Plastic foam mattresses, no matter what fancy name they give them, lose their ability to spring back with repeated use. As you experienced, they start to sag where you lay and throw your back alignment out which is really bad for side sleepers. They do not last especially if you weigh over 220 lbs. Latex mattresses, especially the Talalay latex variety with the proper mattress cover, can last 20 years or more . The cheaper Dunlap latex foam mattress feels firmer, but weigh more because the manufacturers can put more calcium carbonate filler in the foam to increase their profits. It also degrades the foam quality.
What is the approximate density of the supporting base poly foam in the firm version of Tempur ProAdapt in kg per cubic meter?
I hate my pro adapt. I already switched the soft out for medium. Now I'm stuck with it. These beds are not comfortable at all.
I have the medium, and unfortunately it takes a about a month to fully break in. Once it does, it is amazing.
is it getting any better?
I got the lux adap firm and we are in pain. 3 night only with it so I know it needs to break in but wow it's super uncomfortable I don't know if we should switch to soft. Helpppp
@@khiabetcuadra7306 I’m getting the soft, I tried in store & I love to
@@khiabetcuadra7306 did u switch to soft?? I just orderd the the luxe firm because broken in at the store felt like a medium/firm to me and soft was super soft like a marshmallow…did u switch? And do u prefer soft?
Hi how do we get coupons or discounts to buy this mattress?
Mattress Firm has sales all the time.
I got this one in soft.
PS: Elizabeth is cute.
how do you like it??? I just ordered a soft as well. Kinda worried i shouldve got a medium now. Im 6ft and 190lbs
@@sgt.derekforeman5801 You will like it. Keep in mind that Tempur-Pedic use high quality dense foam; better than most other manufacturers. Therefore, it will feel I a little stiffer than soft. Break it in and you’ll be fine. I liked mine even before I broke it in. Money well spent.
@@sgt.derekforeman5801 To add to my other reply, all memory foam mattresses will sleep a litter warmer and that’s regardless of any type of “cooling” features it might have. Get some sheets that will keep cool and a light weight comforter. I still wouldn’t change it for any other mattress. I’m 5’11” 180 pounds. All positions I sleep in are comfortable.
Its crap put to much pressure on my back i don't have a straight back being a very heavy man like 500 pounds oh i couldn't return my mattress cause the store didn't have the cover in stock wouldn't take the $2500 bed back after only 6 days and i cant sleep on it as it painful to point of lower back feeling like i need to go to the er cause the pressure it putting on my back im going to sealy bed as soon i can get money im give this bed to my sister
What’s Pam doing here?
What kind of foam does it have?
They said 4 times; Temperpedic won't release that information. Just look at it this way.
www.vox.com/ad/17980476/tempur-pedic-mattress-nasa-science-innovation
I dont like TP. Its nothing but hype. Beds are not supposed to be foam. Period.
My sides have broken down one year later🤮🤮
Vous aurez pu mettre un éléphant à la place 😂
And the warranty is better on a puffy Lux lifetime LOL
Dam look at that cow 🐄
My experience with their warranty was terrible! Mine developed a soft spot in the middle which made it totally uncomfortable. I was told warrenty DECLINED. My opinion is to avoid TempurPedic.
What reason did they give you? And what did you tell them? Help the rest of us out please.
@@CaptinLongdong1 the only replacement claim covered under warranty, is sag more than .75". My guess is(in "Mower Parts" case), if the foam recovers when not in use, they don't care about soft spots (extra sinking) when in used. I used a firm contour(firmest) for 7 years, I have a pending warranty claim for sagging. The claim has been approved, I'm in the process to get the pro-adapt firm. In my case, the sag is 1.5". The sink however, has increased from year 1=>1" to year 7=> 3.5"sink. So sink vs sag is not covered under warranty. My mattress was recovering to .75" when not in use in year 6, but that was not enough to qualify for warranty, even though, throughout the night I would feel a 3-4" very uncomfortable sink. I was told they cant do anything unless they see pictures of it sagged. I am 6' tall 200lbs, my wife is 5'10" 150lbs. She experiences the same symptoms.
To your point, I believe the warranty claim criteria is irrelevant. The fact that a mattress sinks twice as much while you're sleeping, should qualify for warranty replacement even if the foam recovers when not in use. And this irrelevant criteria is adopted across manufacturers, Tempurpedic having the best approach (.75" min vs 1.5" min sag).
But maybe I'm wrong, I'm not an expert; I am just curious if anyone else experienced this
