I think the one who deserves tobsuffer most was his parents who make their life miserable. Yn don't know what to do so she choose to hurt him for saving her family but at the same time it was more hurting for her to hurt her loved one. But when it become like she will lose herself she gain somewhat courage to tell him. Make them together but also don't let it like they forgive his family. His family also need to suffer for their deeds and never get to live a happy life
