Amazing build, but REALLY surprised that he didn't include a throne room.
Simon Clements throne room was in death star 2, not death star 1.

First off, thanks for Beyond the Brick for the interview, really appreciated it. Second thanks for the comments and constructive critism. It does present an egg shape appearance, but does appear more rounder based on the angle you look at it. A more rounded shape perhaps could have been developed, but based on the levels and bricks used this was the outcome. No instructions were used, just free hand. OverallI I am quite happy with it.....obviously....yeah...I got it.. my bad.
Jacob Carpenter I know it's probably not gonnna happen but when you lower the Middle it will become more "ballish"
The detailing is amazing. The troop quarters beds reminded me of capsule hotels. I liked how you not only managed to fit in lots of details that the Lego sets did not do, but also have big empty spaces which is accurate to the way the Death Star is supposed to look. Not sure why some are complaining about the shape. Excellent job.
Thank you for your service. And for the amount of time you put into this kick ass build. If the massive attention to detail demonstrated here in this build is any indicator of how you perform when deployed, then I can draw some comfort knowing folks like you are out there serving. Takes a lot of focus and planning and commitment to make something on this scale and have it look so great, and have so many excellent features.

Words cannot describe how epic this is! I get all the clone wars references like the sliding beds, training room, and even the med bay sign on the floor! Also, thanks for your service!
Vand Lego Productions nothing of this is clone wars references, its normal military look, the medical insignia is in all hospitals, training room is in every military Camp ever, and sliding beds has been used in Star wars long before clone wars
Emperor TPX dude, he mentioned the training room which is in the episode "clone cadets". The medical sign is the unique Star Wars one, which looks differently than the normal Red Cross, and he even mentioned that the sliding beds are from the clone wars. I saw them in the episode "clone cadets" as well. Did you even watch the whole video?

AsianAssassin 61 The Death Star was an inside job! The emperor did the Death Star attacks to justify going the unknown regions! The empire needed kyber crystals from the unknown regions.
This is the Largest, and MOST SOPHISTICATED and OUTSTANDING LEGO Model of the Death Star I could ever see in my lifetime. It's a miracle! Well done!!
This build is outstanding. It is really better than the original LEGO Death Star because it has more mini figures, space, and creative design I love it and this guy should be proud of his work. Thank you beyond the bricks

Great build, nice technique used to first build the rough size with the technic bricks and then freehand all those details, chamber, the number of guns on all the different levels & all of the important scenes are represented! Amazing and stunning build, I'd like to build one exactly like that too!!
My fav room is the stormtroopers sleeping quarters and the guy kept saying obviously
I saw something very similar in Knoxville yesterday. It had the same rooms, but it had a lazer, and the figs were in different places
It is the same one, but added more details and finished off some of the rooms.

Fcking amezing! I also really want to make huge star wars or lotr/hobbit moc, but its so expencive to get all the bricks :( I do make some moc's but these are just like 1 grey base plate.
The oval shape can become more of a ball by doing two things. Removing one floor and expanding the overall circumference of the floors overall

That kid at 6:12 that grabbed the chain made me mad because he was touching it and his parents weren't there to tell him "hands off" so he wouldn't touch it.
I think this is utterly fantastic and a great credit to the builder. I know that I could never build anything as good as this, and that's probably a good thing... because if I did, I just know I'd accidentally roll it over, or the cat would knock it off the table just for fun. Either way I'd weep, and never remember how to put it back together again!

Was there a throne room on the death star? I think there was, cause if so, it's the only important room left.
