I preferred their old voice, and why the heck did they take the plastic shielding down from Covid? It would’ve been good to have that as protection for the bus driver in case they got attacked.
It always bothered me that YRT's buses did not have the driver shield. As to the TTS voice change, I'm not sure... though I am a fan of the voice for its varying quirks (splicing audio clips with it is funny + TransLink also uses it)!

The old voice was ok but holy the external Announcements were sooooo slowwww
