I binged and it became overwhelming. I remember I went to see her for the first time live the night before I was scheduled to perform in a big concert. I was so entranced and overwhelmed, I began to lose my voice. I could feel in my body my voice was shrinking as if I had jumped into a rigid cold body of water. After that, I began to plan vacation travel wherever she was performing. I never missed a performance. Then like anything I had to take a break. The genius was too much for me. Now I am back and I sparingly introduce her to my vocal students and some of them run at first, but then they return with joy. She is truly an incredible spirit. and reminds me of the infinite possibilities we can experience with the voice. I am not mature enough to one day hopefully sit down with her when the universe permits such a moment and have a discussion with her regarding this thing we all love call singing or speaking with tone. Today I introduced her to a Chinese vocalist who is very talented. I could watch her body expand and retreat. She said "Can you send these performances to me?" since her internet is restricted. I said of course but cautioned her not to take on too much at one time. After listening to this rendition for the "I don't know how many times," I had the power to call my mother who is suffering from dementia, and our encounter last week was horrible. But after listening to My Funny Valentine's several different takes, I called my Mom and told her I loved her and she responded in kind. When her responses became as unrecognizable to me as some of Rachelle's phrases and ideas, I did not judge or respond I just listened, and then I knew it was time to end the conversation with I love you and we will talk later. This time though I feel much more calm and relaxed. I think in the future I will listen to Rachelle before I call.

The entire album is great then skip to the single I CAN EXPLAIN on the album INDIVIDUALITY from 2000. Among her best works. She is great!
