Everyone who is saying it sounds generic is right, when Sunny was making "Alliance" on his live stream, he even said that he is bored of making this stuff because it's so generic and many tracks and chord progressions sound so similar.
Abraham Rodrgiuez It doesn't necessarily mean it's bad though. It just means that Sunny is being hindered from carving out a niche for himself on the label like the likes of Spencer Brown, Rolo Green, Genix et al have done.

Stratton Paulson Because those other artists I mentioned, sans Genix, have only recently been signed by Anjunabeats because they have a unique sound. Sunny Lax has been with Anjunabeats for a much longer time. Therefore, he is just 'going with the flow' and being a regulator in the way Anjunabeats has been evolving their core sound. In his recent Reddit AMA, he stated that Oliver Smith mentioned how he was discouraged from making 138 trance because 'it wasn't the direction Anjunabeats was heading.' Regardless of how much creative control an artist has, they still have to submit to the label.

So Bassically if Oliver would send sunny this vox then A nice mashup could come out/or even collab. Basically Above & Beyond and Arty did this with zoe johnston vocals on 'You got to Believe'. But of course I'm not 100 % sure if both tunes are in the same key(according to Beatport 'Over you' is in f# maj and sheeverz in f# minor so they are in parallel keys).
@@TheRyanadsouza Yes I think the whole trance(in this case 'so called' prog trance/trance 2.0) is caught in that condition where there's a lot of generic tracks... I think that's why anjuna is try to fuse Techno in Trance. That's what genix/andrew bayer seems to do. I especially like what andrew is doing with his sound recently. He's really a GOAT and is pushing this genre forward.

I agree with you about Andrew Bayer, his music is still great. Different. A lot of the music coming out of Anjunabeats and Aramada is extremely generic. It's embarrassing, just wondering how on earth can they release this stuff and expect people not to notice how ridiculously bad it is.

I does sound like it is distorting, I think it is intentional but still fells like my speakers are knifing me.
