Eek! That puts my bulging 55 litre pack to shame. Whilst I’m not really an urban stealth camper, and my ‘stealth’ camping so far has come from fear of other people when solo at night, you’ve inspired me to work even harder to reduce my pack weight! Thankyou for sharing :)

I started off with a 55l bag but kept reducing when I discovered how much easier it was carrying less weight. Especally when travelling overseas (not paying for checked luggage lol) Thanks for the comment.

Loves your philosophy and your honesty. Keep up this type of video. You've found your nack 😊

We all judge our own videos and to be honest I am proud of this one because it was easy to make and edit. I know that sounds lazy but ease its the difference between making videos and not making them. I have been trying to learn how to efficiently make videos. Thanks for the feedback mate and to be honest when I mentioned checking other campers gear I was thinking of you. You do a great job at showing off the gear.

I always bring too much. I'm quite the opposite from a light camper. And still I always forget stuff. Food drinks and camera stuff also takes a lot of space.
But I agree about the cowboy camp, at least you can see the sounds you hear.

Y3ah the camera gear can take up a bit of space. I often not pack a change of clothes if it's a quick camp and if I don't pack a stove then I have room for my slr camera and drone, etc. Tents really creep me out lol

Not a bad set up, but if it rains it won't be comfy. Add a tarp and it'd be comfy because you could still sit out under it

The reason I don't use a tarp is because it's nearly impossible to set one up in an urban environment. I have found that it is a lot easier to find a shelter location than an area to set up a tarp (anchor points, ground for pegs). I uave used selfy sticks as poles to hold up tarp but even then, ground for pegs is needed. I would generally use a hooped bivy instead of a tarp as it can be free-standing.

Very helpful. That might encourage me to reconsider stealth camping. I miss it.

You posted a stealth camp not long ago. It's a lot easier if you travel light. Well that's my experience

Lol I noticed that I said orange once i edited. It's a bit hard to speak to a camera with a drone buzzing overhead for several minutes without screwing something up

If you don't mind the hard lying that set up is very versatile when the objective is stealthy overnighting. As your objective becomes more about enjoying the camp and being more comfortable it begins to spring a few leaks, in my opinion. Good to see you bring some spare clothes. I don;t get the ultralight gram nazis who go for days with no spare clothes. Having learned my craft in the army I have to say the extra bulk and weight of a dry set of sleeping togs is always worth it... providing you can keep them dry and get in and out of them, in torrential rain, without getting them soaked. As you pointed out, urban set ups often take care of the rain issue. I will do a video of my lightest loadout soon and post; thanks for the inspiration.

Cheers thanks for the detailed comment. At the moment the mat works for me but as I get older comfort is becoming more important and I will have to upgrade and change gear. My gear and what I take tends to change depending on where I camp and for how long. I can camp with a 12litre bag if I don't need to cook or need spare clothes. If I'm going longer and going fishing etc, I use a 38litre bag and a hoop bivy. Thanks for the comment mate

Hey mate, thanks for watching. The bivy was bought on aliexpress. It's "3F UL tyvek bivy" cost about $40 AUD.

25l yikes! I try to preach minimalist adventures, but I struggle to fit everything into 65l, especially in winter. But i think that down sleeping bag with liner combo could do the trick. SE asia 25l bag easy!

You need a bigger bag for the flippers and dozen cans of boss iced coffee. If you watch this video
      ua-cam.com/video/G4MrxekY0Cc/v-deo.htmlsi=vgQYAPoXEWyGqs5G I actually use a 12l bag. It was a tight squeeze.
